A person's mercury - vesta - pluto conjunction ( nearly exact) is being squared by the other person's mercury and mars ( nearly exact).
Is this bad for the relationship?

Some info

VESTA

Vesta is the brightest of the asteroids and at time can even be seen with the naked eye. In Roman mythology, Vesta was the goddess of the hearth and its fire. She represents the flame which burns away the non-essentials, leaving only that which is pure.

Astrologically, Vesta is associated with both Scorpio and Virgo, and indicates great concentration on any given task to the exclusion of everything else. It suggest emotional and personal involvement can become a secondary to the ability to focus so directly on a goal. Many well known, successful people have Vesta prominent in their birth charts.

Examples: Mercury trine Vesta in a birth chart indicates an ability to learn easily and quickly from reading. On the other hand, Vesta-Neptune aspects can indicate a difficulty in focusing o0n or committing to any single thing. http://www.astrology3d.com/educenter/asteroids.html#VESTA

Thanks AD! Good to know

Here's another bit of info on Vesta as explained to me by Ceridwen from my Atlantis thread-
http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum28/HTML/001025.html

"Hestia/Vesta also -at least int he early times- were engaging in sexual rituals, always meant for spiritual purposes, and not really based on affectionate love to an individual leading into marriage (the priestesses of Hestia/Vesta stayed independent of any man, they were "sacred harlots" like the priestesses of Ishtar in Babylon)."

The Vesta and "sacred harlot" bit is not well known by people.

I was interested in this as I have a Mary/Vesta exact conjunction at 17 Cap 11! Underscores the sacredness of the harlot part, hm?

sillyme,

With Vesta, Pluto, Mercury, and Mars in aspect, I would guess spiritual sex which is intensely pure (Vesta), transformational (Pluto), and also mentally communicative (Mercury). Sounds ideal to me. But yeah, see what Ceri says

thanks ppl...
but i guessed that the person with vesta-merc-pluto conjunction will be highly devoted to his particular purpose and somewhat rigid in his thoughts and ideas to the point of obsession ( vesta being devotion).
This is being squared by the other person's mercury (thought patterns and ideologies) and mars( energy drive).
So i guessed that the second person would not be able to appreciate or understand the former's ideals and may revolt against it too..?

Does this make sense?
