Topic: Pholus conjunct Ascendant

I've recently started looking into the asteroids more, and while looking for major conjunctions in my chart I found I have Pholus conjunct my ascendant (3 degrees). It's also opposite Neptune and Uranus (2 degrees each) I wasn't able to find much info on it, but found this:Pholus in the natal chart is indicative of issues relating to both Saturn and Neptune, i.e. feelings, emotions, sacrifice, dreams, chaos, all Neptunian stuff and the Saturnine influence of order, duty, restriction and control. In aspect to a natal planet Pholus could indicate something we’re not yet fully aware of, something that is waiting to manifest. Perhaps something from our past is restraining us, is keeping it under control. It may become a pressing issue that we blindly and impulsively act upon only to find it has disastrous results. On the other hand, it may lead us to achieve great things. Pholus also has a mediumistic quality, a connection to ‘the other world’ and the ability to get in touch with it.

(I do have Sun conjunct both though). Issues from my past do threaten to hold me back, and I believe I'll be stronger for overcoming them in the end, but I know the biggest issues for me to overcome are my own self-destructive tendancies/patterns... I also read that Pholus conjunct the ascendant can indicate a sort of "coming out" at some point in life, and I guess I can identify with this in that I feel estranged from my family and felt even more out of place growing up because I refuse to pretend to agree with their conservative/religious values, which to them essentially means I'm a bad person and am going to hell lol... But anyway, if anyone has any more information on this asteroid and what it might mean conjunct the ascendant I would appreciate your insight

Um i guess sometimes... lol. I actually usually try to stay composed emotionally, and can be guilty of trying to not let it show when things bother me, which I've learned is obviously not the most healthy way of dealing with things since it just leads to more problems lol. I do have moon opposite mars and mars opposite pluto natally, and have been very used to being around volitile emotions (my family growing up), and in my own personal relationships I can be drawn to people with volitle or even aggressive personalities. I realize this is a projection of my own stronger emotions that I'm unable/unwilling to show, and it's definitely a habbit I'm trying to break when forming new relationships/friendships...
