if you check ALDEBARAN on Astro you get asteroid 28 Bellona... I don't understand the connection

(Alpha Tauri). Aldebaran is by far the brightest, and therefore the Alpha, star of the constellation Taurus. The ancient name, from Arabic, means "the Follower," as the star seems to follow the Pleiades, or Seven Sisters star cluster, across the sky.

but Bellona ....

Bellona(BELLO) was an Ancient Roman war goddess. She is believed to be one of the numinous gods of the Romans (without a particular mythology and possibly of Etruscan origin), and is supposed by many to have been the Romans' original war deity, predating the identification of Mars with Ares. She accompanied Mars into battle and is taken variously as his sister, wife or daughter. She is also (as at her temple in Ostia) syncretized with Magna Mater. She is also the mother of Romulus and Remus, The legendary founders of Rome. Bellona's attribute is a sword and she is depicted wearing a helmet and armed with a spear and a torch. Politically, all Senate meetings relating to foreign war were conducted in the Templum Bellonae (Temple of Bellona) on the Collis Capitolinus outside the pomerium...

In Greek and Roman Mythology Bellona was the Roman goddess of war. She was the sister, wife or daughter of Mars. Bellona prepared Mars for his chariot and horses when he departed for battle. In statues Bellona is seen with her hair down and flowing, driving the chariot of Mars with a bloody whip, while in her other hand she waves a flaming torch. - Greek Mythology source

Bellona was an Ancient Roman goddess of war, similar to the Ancient Greek Enyo. Bellona's attribute is a sword and she is depicted wearing a helmet and armed with a spear and a torch. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bellona_%28goddess%29

So she kinda seems like the female version of MARS?

I have a double whammy Venus-Bellona with someone, I found that interesting! (we have no Venus-Mars).

Anyone know anything on this ALDEBARAN - BELLONA connection?

*edit* well i think they made a mistake on Astro.com ALDEBARAN is clearly a fixed star called the eye of the Bull (somewhere 'round 9 Gemini) http://www.constellationsofwords.com/stars/Aldebaran.html

But the Bellona asteroid is intriguing. Perhaps Mars/Bellona aspects could also show friendly, supportive comrades or something like that.
