Violet, That Psyche and Eros are always paired in synastry is a misnomer. What you're thinking of is soul-based connections. You tend to find aspects between Psyche and Eros in those, specifically. (Especially, the composite).
Individually speaking - now, this is a new area for me, and I'm waiting for the 'verdict' on Eros - this particular asteroid, true to its theme, has to do with all things 'erotic' -- ranging from sexuality and deep interpersonal merging to creativity.
It can go pretty in-depth, where some astrologers will specify what each aspect means in regard to each point. So, these are broad strokes.
I'll take a shot here and say your Eros-Moon conjunction tends to make you very comfortable with your sexuality (barring any afflictions) and naturally creative. You may have a deep 'urge to merge'.
Psyche in connection to Sun or Mercury is going to always have an impact: mentally (Mercury), and to the core of one's identity (Sun). Since he's naturally a very 'mental' type - very 'Mercurial', you're going to be the intuitive, thoughtful, and more emotional of the two.
There's a basic imbalance in the way he thinks versus the way you intuit. You've come together to explore how those differences impact human relating. In short, he's going to think it, you're going to 'feel' or intuit it. You'll tire of his superficiality and tendency to never delve beyond the surface. As an Eros-Moon you LIVE in the undercurrents, and feel VERY deeply - no matter the sign.
Eros is also becoming a hotbed of debate for - hah, of all things - controversy. He wants what he wants (like the id) and damn the consequences. So, he tends to get himself embroiled in relationships outside the status quo. Attractions which may not be appropriate, but resonate deeply on a soul-level. That makes you something of a natural rebel, likely stemming from previous soul experiences.
This man may be someone you're here to influence, and help to change the perspective of. But don't force it. He's happy on the surface. Hammer the subject too hard, and, he's not going to be able to take it.
The fact there's a trine here, overall, shows there's a basic affinity going on between everyone - even if it's your Psyche that's driving the deal.
Look at it this way.
Your Psyche's trying to get him to dig deeper - to 'feel' rather than -think-think-think- everything, ALL the bloody time. The opposition makes this an intense interaction fraught with attraction / repulsion.
Your Moon-Eros is more gently working to ease him into the idea. Your basic, innate erotic nature can slowly draw him into these deeper waters of which you're fond, which is out of his Sun-Mercury's depth.
Mercury/Sun trine Eros/Moon is a very nice configuration. Just have to know how to work with it. You can use the power of your creative emotion (or emotional creativity) to appeal to his rational mind, which is at the core of his identity.
This is where, in simple terms, you try to introduce him to new concepts that might force him to feel rather than think in situations which are conducive to it. Pillow talk. In a soothing voice that's speaking to ... not his big head, but, uh, his little one.
Your basic energies are in sync; there's just the issue which you're here to help him resolve. But slow and steady, with gentility, is the key.
