If not, would the astrologer have to look at the asteroids conjunct the client's personal planets and angles( which are unique to each person's chart) RATHER than an asteroid to asteroid conjunction, which would be the same for a large group of people?

I use name asteroids as specific for that client's life. For one person, the name Mark would have a lot of meaning, as it may have been a father. For another person, it would not.
I ask people to give me a list of the people who have been most influential in their lives, for good or bad.

Then, I plug these asteroids into the charts.

@Ami: Aspects that exist for millions of people will work strongly only when fast movers like Ascendant, Sun, Mercury, Venus or Moon make aspects to the Asteroid conjunction.
The Aspects will also be valid for each and every individual but the percentage effect varies according to the Consciousness of the Individual.

I thiunk it was Gurdjieff who said that only 5% of Humanity pays attention to anything worthwhile. 5% of them will contemplate about what they have heard or observed. And only 20% of the remaining will take action to evolve.

Aspects will be felt strongly only to this Spiritually elite group who decide to take Conscious Action for Self Improvement. It does not matter what their religion, age, race or financial status is. The Will to Improve Self, that is what matters.

Over one hundred thousand people share your generational aspects Ami. Why are they not helping out youngsters in tackling psychological problems ? The answer is that they have not developed their Spiritual Consciousness adequately.
