Hey all!
Just getting into asteroids and the taste of curiosity is making me want to dig more and more! Anyone know the details of Aldebaran and how it manifests as a conjunction to venus and to midheaven?

I'm a nube around here and am falling deeply in love with astrology.

Thanks guys! <3

Aldebaran is actually not an asteroid. It is one of the four fixed royal stars, and is a fortunate star to be born under. It is in direct opposition to another royal star, named Antares, so if you aspect one, you aspect both.

The orb for stars is very small; I would say no more than 2°. If applying, the Sun and Moon can have a slightly larger orb.

Welcome JDlives
That is a cute name
I have this conjunct Venus, too. It is a fixed star.
This fixed star can give one great honors or downfalls, if not used wisely.

Conjunct the MC would intensify the public face you will have to which this will show. Be careful of your reputation and your actions, as you have great potentials

I did not know about the opposition to Antares, Blind Writer. What would that do to Alderbaran? Thanks! xx

I haven't thought about it from that angle, since I'm usually thinking about how Aldebaran affects Antares. I have my Sun conjunct Antares, so... *laugh*

Antares is more of an action-oriented and passionate star. Aldebaran is more administrative, or overseeing, often called the "enlightened". Antares acts like the disruption when Aldebaran has gone stagnant or corrupt, and Aldebaran seems to provide the guidelines for Antares to live by.

Consider the signs they reside in. Aldebaran is the Bull's Eye, in the constellation of Taurus. Antares is the Heart of the Scorpion, sitting in Scorpio. They work in tandum, very much like the nodal axis and the vertex axis.

Here is an interesting link: http://www.souledout.org/cosmology/highlights/aldebaran.html

quote:
"The Aldebaran / Antares axis is indicative of political systems, their people, and their opposing politics. Aldebaran holds and radiates vision for ideal physical logistics for authorities to put in place so as to aid the peoples of the Earth through evolutionary process and transition. Antares ensures that the current and accepted approaches and visions do not become static or antiquated. Antares ensures growth, evolution and change."
- Nick Anthony Fiorenza, The Lunar Planner

Venus would be a good conjunction to Aldebaran, but it really depends on what area of your chart it sits, and if afflicted by heavy-hitters like Mars or Saturn. Rising or culminating is the best place, otherwise there is a chance of indulgence and living by your own rules.

Both are fortunate stars, but be mindful that they will bring prominence to a native, whether for the good or bad they have done.

I have an unaspected Venus in the 9th House, so I better be careful that Alderbaran brings good, not bad

AA, I did check out that website you posted of Asteroid Ephemeris positions. crazy crazy... I'm too much of a newb for that... ill bookmark it and come back to it later when I've cumulated more knowledge on the matter. But asteroids and stars are so so cool! I always loved Pallas Athena studying her in school ...discovered this morning she's conjunct my ascendant.. of course.

I love these forums for the insights they afford me. I have searched far and wide for answers to the anxiety that always seems to brood just beneath the surface for me, and makes life quite a challenge. I can outline all of the aspects which make anxiety a reality for me, but most immediate, is my search to understand how my stellium between Venus/Mars/Saturn in Gemini (all opposite Neptune) might bode well for me. I just learned, too, that Aldebaran/Antares are in play here making a conjunction to this stellium...the literature out there is horrific about my Venus/Mars/Saturn stellium, and knowing energy the way I do, I believe there must be a positive expression of this combination, which I can adopt/lean on and work to manifest in my world. For your insights rendered to me, in advance, I am truly grateful.
