According to myth, Pygmalion was a sculptor, who made a perfect statue - Galatea. He fell in love with her, because she was so perfect that he couldn't help but feel for her. Aphrodite saw Pygmalion's feelings and gave life to Galataea so that they could marry and live happily as a couple. They had 2 children, which i won't discuss here.

So, i think that in a synastry Galatea could show us what in us is perfect for the other person. What they idealize. Maybe even they cannot believe that they could get it. Because it's so perfect in their opinion, that isn't even real. Like Galatea wasn't real until she was made real because of Pygmalions love.

So, i'll put again here aspects with Galatea and planets, points and asteroids Karma, Psyche, Angel, Amor, Eros, Aphrodite, Soulie, and maybe name asteroids as well. Conjunctions and oppositions only within 2 degrees, name if Exact.

If you want, you can join me in researching this asteroid.

So the numbers for research would be :

74, 3811, 433, 16, 1221, 13226, 1388 + name asteroids or anything else of your preference.

* My Love. I love him not from this life alone, and he feels for me too, but we're not together, though we could be. I guess the timing was wrong or there are still lessons to learn. I see him as the most perfect thing in the world, despite any flaws he has.

My Galatea opposite his Sun
His Galatea conjunct my Aphrodite EXACT
His Galatea conjunct my Amor

* My Sun-on-SN friend. We love to talk about different things, mainly philosophical and eternal..
Orb outside my limits, but i think it's relevant to mention it here, because it constitutes to the facts above.

* He was my secret love in highschool, i admired him sooo much for several years. It's over now, but i indeed thought he was perfect. But i never told him.

You see? I have to prove it, ofcourse, but for now it seems that Galatea may be prominent where we admire someone in that way that a planet or asteroid indicates, but we may never tell that to the person. Show maybe, but not tell.

From Kim Falconer's description, in her love asteroid lists:

Galatea (statue that Pygmalion made, he fell in love with it, Aphrodite brought it to life and made his wish come true) - can represent the object of one's affection

Hmm... but then I'm curious what 96189 Pygmalion is up to!

His Galatea conjunct my Venus EXACT
His Galatea conjunct my Mercury

Actually idealizing is here. He was not ideal. They were fighting with my sis, as i later found out, he was drinking... but it doesn't matter to me. I just love him as a brother, no matter how he was. He's always perfect for me and i miss him like hell.

Could you recommend me which famous couples should i use too?

For now it seems that Galatea is relevant and is obviously showing the object of one's affection. The one with Galatea is affected by the person whose object touches it. I was blinded by that guy who had his Sun in exact conjunction with my Galatea.

Is anyone out there with ASC on 2°03 Scorpio? :d

I can't wait for your examples, folks.

* My Love and his girl.

She has her Galatea exactly on his ASC. I think she adores him.

And that makes her have her Galatea on my Venus EXACT. She likes me very much, she doesn't know about what was between me and him.

A woman's Galatea conjunct a man's Mars would make her see him as her perfect mate. She may become obsessed with him. With having him for her own. The same would apply with man's Galatea conjunct a woman's Venus.

I wonder... would a natal conjunction of Sun and Galatea make an individ in love with himself? Like he adores himself so much, more than anything in the world? He sees himself perfect?

Well, I am female and gay. With the current person I've been obsessed with for over a year, there are no conj or opp.

With my most recently ended relationship, which was for five years (my longest relationship ):

Galatea CONJ IC (<1)
IC CONJ Galatea (<2)
Chiron CONJ Galatea (<2)

Interesting!

We are still in each others lives, and I feel we will always care about each other. We are very comfortable with each other and accepting, I'd say.
