Applying what I've learned about asteroid astrology, I've been looking at things in my past. The passing of my mother is perhaps a good place to start, to see what was above to reflect what was happening below. I got more than I bargained for.

Though the transit date is given as September 26th, her passing was in the middle of the day of September 25th. Since I still don't know if it's possible to set UTC times for a transit date on astro.com, I went with what would have been 8PM EDT of the 25th. As that was fairly close to when I was told the news, it works well enough for my purposes.

Transiting Pluto exactly conjunct my natal 5180 Ohno which is at 13 Sco 29'58". Ohno, from what http://markandrewholmes.com/ohno.html has to offer, means exactly what it says. "Oh no." Dismay, horror, denial. As you can imagine, this was quite a shockwave to our family, especially as she seemed to be improving enough to be moved out of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

It gets deeper.

- Transit Pluto also was conjunct my natal Uranus @ 12 Sco 47'38", bringing Demolition of the Old to my placement of Revolutionary Change. Both opposed my natal Moon (9 Tau 56'44") and Chiron (9 Tau 43'36" Rx) as well. It should be noted Mom wasn't feeling all that great for months beforehand, which fits the transit/natal interaction.

- Natal Nessus at 13 Can 28'49" all but was exactly trined by Pluto that day as well.

- Transit Nessus @ 27 Vir 51'14" conjuncted natal North Node @ 27 Vir 1'16". That wasn't nice...

- 9000 Hal @ 13 Aqu 29'51" exactly squared in transit. Key in this is Hal's apparent to-do with computers and technology, and the fact my mother was on a ventilator for 10 days in the ICU. She was taken off earlier that day when moved out of ICU as she appeared to be improving.

- Transit Pluto was also square my Part of Fortune @ 13 Leo 22'46"

- Natal 18824 Graves @ 25 Tau 24'45", conjunct my natal 3811 Karma @ 25 Tau 03'31", both with Algol, was transited by retrograde Graves close to that date, which was around 23 Tau 51' at the time.

- Debatable as to the orb of this, but it should be noted that transit 273 Atropos was Station Direct @ 15 Aqu 56'6" around the time I received the news.

- Natal Mercury @ 21 50'12" Rx trines natal 10 Hygiea @ 21 Sag 28'40". Transit Hygiea was around 19 Sag 57'34" when I received the news, trine transit 99942 Apophis @ 19 Leo 43'43" Station Retrograde. News of loss and ending (in this case, my mother's time on Earth) figured prominently at this time. Emotions were reflected as being stirred even further as transit Moon as of 8PM EDT on Sept. 25 1989, @ ~19 Leo 28'56", would conjunct transit Apophis almost exactly.

- Pisces, ruling my 4th house in my natal chart, ruled traditionally by Jupiter and modernly by Neptune. Transit Jupiter @ ~9 Can 8'34" conjuncted transit Kaali @ ~9 Can 7'28", close to the time of my being told. This was also dangerously close to natal Kaali @ 6 Can 50'54". Doesn't matter if that's out of orb, as there seem to be plenty of other indicators in this chart...
--- I should disclose that natal Jupiter @ 27 Can 29'56" in 8th house, squares my natal Arabic Part of Death (Parents) @ 27 Lib 43' 11th house. At first, I didn't think the Part of Death (Parents) even factored into this event, but now... I'm forced to reconsider this assessment. Arabic Parts warrant further study with this discovery. Also, transit Black Moon Lilith may have helped activate this Part @ 25 Lib 33'9". Also, transit BML squared my natal BML at 24 Can 24'56" (8th house).
--- Upon further examination, natal Dejanira (24 Pis 37'42" Rx), combined with sextiling transit and natal Graves and natal Karma, all of these quincunx transit Black Moon Lilith, which was close enough to Natal Arabic Part of Death (Parents)... arguably Yod Kited with my natal Arabic Part of Bad Luck @ 23 Ari 4' pulling the bowstring... ...I may be stretching the orbs on this one, but I'm calling that loose Yod Kite a hit. I definitely felt victimized at that point, as did Dad.

- Speaking of Modern ruler of Pisces, transit Neptune (9 Cap 36'56" Station Direct) was conjunct my natal Ceres (10 Cap 3'6" Rx), both opposed by transit Jupiter/Kaali. Illusions of hearth and home were certainly shattered by the harsh new reality.

- This next discovery has me going "seriously WTF." Natal Sun @ 0 Vir 15'31", conjunct transit 2254 Requiem @ 1 Vir 42'19", sextile transit Ceres (1 Can 1'31") and transit Pholus (29 Gem 22'45"), all quincunx natal 4362 Carlisle (29 Cap 28'15" Rx) and natal Arabic Part of Death (29 Cap 30') as well as natal 203 Pompeja (29 Cap 37'33" Rx), Yod-Kited by natal Requiem @ 1 Leo 57'28" 8th house.
--- The old Carlisle Hospital (since demolished) is where Mom passed away.
--- Arabic Part of Death, not to be confused with Arabic Part of Death (Parents), apparently does not always relate to death of self.
--- I don't have the exact link, but I apparently had Karmic past-life history involving Pompeii. Perhaps Karma wasn't fully satisfied...

- Finally, transit Lucifer @ 9 Gem 9'32" conjuncted natal Hekate @ 9 Gem 3'14", and opposed transit Karma @ 8 Sag 57'11". ...with transit Jupiter/Kaali in Cancer and natal Moon/Chiron in Taurus.... There's another Yod Kite, this one within 1 degree orbs for everything.

I could examine more, but I think we get the idea. Sad to say, I was destined to experience SOMETHING hard-hitting at that moment in time, apparently... Though it wasn't exactly without foresight given that Mom was in the ICU for 18 days total... (she went in September 7th 1989), just that particular zone in time...

While not all aspects were exact, enough were piled on by transit and natal to tell the story up above of what was going on in my life down here.

Also, this seems to validate Arabic Parts in my mind, provided they are calculated correctly. Also, this appears to indicate that the exact Arabic Part of (X) does not always manifest the way we might think it will.

- Dad's natal North Node was transited by Pluto during this time period, and his natal Uranus (conjunct natal South Node) was opposed. Transit Venus was also close by, conjuncting transit Pluto. Dad's natal NN is also in 12th house, somehow fitting. This formation is completed as a T-Square by dad's natal Sun.

- Transit Hal (in dad's natal 8th) opposite dad's Juno in Capricorn 2nd.

- Transit Mercury Retrograde trine dad's Natal Mercury, completing Grand Trine with Dad's Descendant. Dad's natal Hal seems to complete a Grand Trine Kite to transit Mercury, while natal Pluto opposes natal Mercury and completes a Grand Trine Kite that way. The Ascendant/Descendant line, with natal Mars on the Ascendant, seems to complete a Grand Trine Kite on that axis as well. Between Mercury's messages, Pluto's transformation, and the Self-Other line of the Ascendant/Descendant Axis, this seems to accurately describe what happened here.

- Transit Hal and transit Black Moon Lilith appear to complete a T-Square with dad's Apophis.

- Transit Graves near Algol quincunxed natal Venus. Natal Venus sextiled transiting Black Moon Lilith... seemingly barely in orb to complete a Yod.

- I did discover dad's Vertex was conjunct transit Chiron at that point, opposing natal Pholus, trine transit Venus which was itself opposing natal Ceres.

That's what immediately jumps out at me. I'll do another check on Dad's chart and the time frame of Mom's passing when I calculate his Arabic Parts.

I have GRAVES (18824) at 27º SCO '57 on my MOON/MARS, and exactly, 0º00 parallel my MERCURY.

When I was 13, my mother developed and nearly died from Graves Disease. It dominated her life, my adolescence, and several years of our relationship. I'm fortunately not at risk for developing it, though I battle severe health anxiety. (GRAVES also parallel my URA, but too far to be conjunct at 4º, which is my 6R.)

When my mother died, GRAVES was opposing my moon, less than 2* orb.
When my father died, GRAVES was opposing my Saturn, less than 1*.

How strange.
