Having an un-aspected Sun can be quite difficult in life. It usually represents issues with the ego and how you build up your identity based on what sign it falls in and what house it is posited in. This is a support thread for anyone out there on LL or beyond who has this unique blessing (and curse). Here we can discuss how it's manifested for you, what problems it's caused, or maybe what good has come out of it.

To start us off, I'll list some famous examples of un-aspcted Sun people to give us un-aspected Sun people some hope. Not having any aspects to your Sun might make you seemed doomed to lack stability or success, but that's just not true.

CASE 1: John Lennon

I call myself a 'Lennon Sun' since I am a Libra like Lennon, with zero major aspects to my Sun. If you're a Lennon Sun, you should feel unique. This Sun, as we can see with John's case, can manifest as extreme creativity, and a peacefulness of the soul. Lennon's father disappeared from his childhood and went out to sea when he was very young, and he had few male role models in life, a classic case of how a Sun lacking aspects can represent. Lennon took his Libra Sun to the extreme end of the positive spectrum, making Libra-flavored lyrics like 'Imagine no possessions... it's easy if you tried...' and 'give peace a chance', etc.

CASE 2: Vincent van Gogh

Van Gogh had an un-aspected Aries Sun. Van Gogh was a creative genius with many issues that arose from epilepsy and possible bipolar disorder. He made an extreme impact on his generation and generations to come. His un-aspected Sun in the 10th house gave him extreme drive in his professional career. Van Gogh charged ahead, an Aries to the extreme, and made over 2,000 works in his lifetime. He survived head trauma possible for an Aries person but in this case one that was extreme, perhaps from a Sun so powerful that it could be hard to handle at times, an ego that was a loose canon from not being anchored down by another planet - he cut off his own ear, and managed to survive it.
