Cupido is the "look of love" with nothing behind it. It could be called the "players asteroid"
The person knows they are playing you.

Haha, when I read the title I was thinking, Cupido must come close to a player asteroid. Exact same thinking here.

Though I think Cupido is still one sexy astroid, you just shouldn´t assume there is any depth to it.
I don´t think Cupido is in it "for the count" only, but he just likes to play, and the attraction is there, but it is an attraction to appearance with not much foundation to build on.

I always think of the love style of LUDUS in terms of Cupido.

"Ludus

Ludic lovers are players. More interested in quantity than quality of relationships, ludic lovers want to have as much fun as possible. Ludic lovers choose their partners by playing the field, and quickly recover from break-ups.
Ludic lovers tend to view marriage as a trap, and are the most likely of the love styles to commit infidelity. They might view children as a sign of fertility of the parent or of the masculinity of the father. They regard sex as a conquest or a sport, and they engage in relationships because they see them as a challenge.
The disadvantage[citation needed] of this love style is the likelihood of infidelity. In its most extreme form, ludic love can become sexual addiction.
Examples of ludus in movies include Dangerous Liaisons and Cruel Intentions."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Love_styles#Ludus
I don`t agree with the choice of movies though, and certainly not on the addiction-part.

At its best it is a lighthearted "it`s all fun and games" approach to romance.

Fitting song choice!

There is a German song called: Das Spiel - the game, that fits the bill, too. I think

the German original
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lXJNtALKlkw

That you are not
What you were once
Since you undressed for me

That you fling everything
Because of one night
And loose everything
It was not meant to be this way

You want me for yourself
And you want me wholly
But on this level
I am not having fun

That does not make me feel satisfied
I only feel at home
Right between two stools

I just want to play
I do not hurt you
I just want to play
I do not hurt you

That you leave somebody because of me
That you cry sometimes
Because it hurts you

That there is someone else from time to time
Who comes into my life here and there

That you fall in love
Because you sleep with me
That it affects you so much
I did not know that

It was never planned that you now feel
Like one of many

That you do not sleep anymore
Because it arouses you when I move
How I move

That you nearly burn under my hand
When I touch you, I did not anticipate that
I stand here, do this and that
Move my hands through the hair and then you already want something

Leave it, I respect
Your feelings too much"

(well a true Cupido probably would leave out the last lines )

The songs were beautiful... I liked the German one, video was especially 'pretty'.

Did you know that h40 CUPIDO has additional meanings, as defined in astrology?

Uranian Astrologer Arlene Kramer relates it to FAMILY and CREATIVITY. Calls h40 Cupido the planet of "Togetherness"-- family, marriage, society, partnerships, organizations, corporations, collections, Art. She says h40 Cupido is like a Super-Venus... That where Venus means love, Cupido means marriage...

Astrologer Martha Lang-Wescott on her website treehouse mountain uses keywords for h40 Cupido as involving issues in "the family history, group unity or dynamics; comments on the home, residence or household themes; decor; artistry; sense for art."

Medical Astrologer Eileen Nauman has a webpage thoroughly describing the Medical Rulerships of Cupido, and the Psychological Underpinnings of Cupido, Healing Tools for Cupido, Flower and Gemstone Essence Considerations for h40 Cupido.

Astrologer Michael Erlewine has description of h40 Cupido, and refers to the chart for Charles & Diana, England's Royal Wedding.

L.Blake Finley, M.A., Uranian Astrologer, describes the symbolic meaning behind h40 Cupido's glyph. http://www.uranian-institute.org/bfglyphs.htm

(If you didn't guess it by now, I resonate strongly to h40 Cupido: in my chart it's positioned at 0*LIB00'00" -- within a few degrees of my Libra MC, from the 9th house side.)

I know some astrologers swear by them, but I don`t use hypothetical objects in astrology.

It`s one thing to use calculated points, with a bit of reasoning I get these as sensitive points, but objects whose existence has never been observed and their positions have been "guessed", because astrologers thought: there must be something out there at that point

No.

I`m going to start using them when they are real existing observable objects in the sky; everything else seems arbitrary to me.

However, as I said there are several astrologers who use them, even a whole astrological school build upon them; so it is simply my opinion, that`s all.
