I honestly take it to simply mean what it does: past-life romantic ties. Especially when it's DW.

There should also be 12H involvement with VENUS, JUNO, or other love asteroids, as well as SNODE to these points.

The person with KARMA is seeking to resolve something with the VENUS person, in my experience.

My current experience is his KARMA-VENUS conjunct my NNODE, square my MOON-URANUS and his NEPTUNE (conjunct my MOON). My KARMA conjoins his SNODE exactly, and his VENUS quintiles my KARMA.

While it's not where our specific focus is, it's been supportive of how we're going about resolving the past issues - which are pretty hefty. 5H, 9H, 12H, 8H involvement.

But, as Linda always said: love is a powerful thing.
