I know there have been a few threads on vesta lately and I never really payed attention to it but loved the article posted about vesta in the natal chart, very interesting

So I'm wondering how this plays out in synastry? I believe there was a thread on this at some point but it was closed lol

The guy I've been hanging out with lately has his vesta conjunct my vertex (1 degree) and moon (3 degrees) in Sag, my 5th house... His mercury also conjuncts my vertex and moon

Vesta aspects are common between couples especially married couples usually with Vesta aspecting the sun and or moon of at least one person. Vesta aspects hold more weight when they aspect critical points of the natal chart. Secondly Vesta is both a devotion asteroid as well as a tantric sex asteroid. There is a different type of sexuality expressed by vesta, its isn't the same energy as Juno which more influenced by divine duty such as a sacred marriage i.e. Eros/Psyche, Hera/Zeus, Isis/Osiris etc where the point of a sacred union procreation and partnership. Nor is it the same as Venusian energy which can be influenced by jealousy, lust, admiration of beauty etc. Vesta's energy is that inner fire that keeps a relationship going despite any rather difficult circumstances. There's a different kind of reception/communication a couple will have with one another, it isn't merely about co-existing with one another such as the yin/yang symbol moving in different directions. Its about merging one's energy with the other's energy. Couples with this aspect usually have great sex lives together its kind of just automatic synchronicity. Lastly Vesta is associated with focus and commitment. She represents those things that helps us focus, the way in which we dedicate ourselves with heart, soul, and that for which we are ready or compelled to make a sacrifice for.

Vesta-Mercury could indicate mental synchronicity, intellectual connection even intellectual creatively with the connection to your 5th house which rules not only attraction but creativity.

Vesta-Moon in Sag aspect could denote more emotional devotion thats usually not associated with Fire signs. The willingness to be more sacrificial for the sake of maintaining a relationship with that person.

Thank you for your response ail221, everything you said is very true!!

I think he's a great guy, and we do have a really good sex life lol, but it's not just lust or attraction, we're naturally in synch with each other as you said, and I've had hang ups about sex for a while tbh but he's shown me how great the whole body/soul connection can actually be. I haven't felt that kind of intimacy with someone maybe ever. This wasn't something I was expecting at all, but circumstances could never allow for this to be a long term relationship because I have to move back home soon to finish school... I didn't want to become emotionally attached to anyone while I was here but I feel like he helped me break through a lot of my own walls and I don't regret the experience even though it's sort of bittersweet

Anyway, thanks again for your response!

Ahhh, I love Vesta connections! I think they are some of the truest and I love your description. Vesta always resonates w/ devotion and the sign Virgo to me. (It's 3 Virgo in my chart) and of course, those famous Vestal Virgins. ;}

Vesta bonds have always been there with any significant males in my life (maybe b/c I have Vesta trine Mars natally?) Usually my Vesta conj their Sun, Mars, Venus or Moon w/ a trine in there also. And I'm just realizing , it's actually conj my Dad's Eros & ASC, my Mom's Psyche, my eldest niece's Saturn and twin niece/nephew's ASC again w/a trine to all 3 kids' suns. My Dad's Vesta is conj my Sun & opp my sisters' Sun/Venus. My Mom's Vesta/Moon is conj my Venus & my twin sisters' Neptune. My sisters have Vesta conj Mercury in Aries conj my Mother's DESC my father's Mars - all opposite my Sun/Moon MP, Mercury & Uranus. YIKES!
Seems to be the signature asteroid in our family.

As a side note, has anyone else noticed that the family connections certain planets/ asteroids make between the immediate family members will also be replicated in the attraction pattern of the synastry between the chosen partner/s? I am beginning to see this play out more and more and it is absolutely freaky! The code is definitely already written. Certain signs (conj or opposite in very specific degrees) just show up again and again in different configurations. As well as certain aspects:

Vesta/Mars/Merc/DESC
Vesta/Venus/Sun or Moon
Vesta/Saturn
Vesta/Neptune
Vesta trine Sun

Sorry about the tangent. I hope you both meet again someday. It's always such a sweet connection. ;}
