I wouldn't worry --- I have very close 2° or less~ aspects to Rigel, Regor, Regulus, Algol, and several other less famous stars~ to my luminaries. oppositions/sextiles/trines/conjunctions ~~~
See, I really entered into astrology because I loved archaeology as a child, and took into archaeoastronomy as a way to really get into (if you will) the "life" of our ancestors~ who relied on these stars~
It wasn't that stars where put into use with personality/natal astrology so much until the time of ~ well Ptolemy... but,in earliest times, asia, and the middle east, and pacific islanders, and natives ---- they used stars as horoscopes~ in mundane astrology~ more than the whole "you'll be beheaded" or "thisi person will be maimed, lose all his fortune, be damned".... this stuff was added on later~ picked up by those oh-so-depressing dark age occultists~ passed along to the spiritualist/new agers of the late 18th century and then we have all that hodge-podge today...
I'd honestly think being born under /any/ star is a good sign. (and honestly, we all have two or three stars near our suns/moons/etc)~ ---- there're just to many to count/name. ^^;
a star for almost every planet in my chart, anda star for every angle....
but, maybe it's all got truth in it~ and secretly I'm some dark-halfbreed drakonian/serpent with my oh so awful Algol Sun/Moon - and Thuban ASC~
I say - phooey to stars in personal astrology~
---- if you are planning travel/career/major life events ---- then check them~ in transits ---etc~
