i think an opposition might have an effect too but the site doesebt have interpretation so we will have to wait for IQ or another one of the asteroid experts to figure it out IP: Logged |

Yes spica means great fortune generally but there seems to be a bit of "pull and tug" thing going on in your chart because Spica is both sqaure your Sun, conjunct your Moon yet sextile your Asc exact which is in your favor. Squares are necessarily horrible rather they offer a bit of a challenge for you to overcome. Then again conjunctions and oppositions are most important when dealing with fixed stars so Spica is in your favor. Spica conjunct your Moon in the 3rd house means possibly more of a fortunate chance of dealing with people, public relations, fortune within fields were you have to be social or market your abilities i.e the arts, sciences, writing, creative field erc also fortune dealing with authority figures i.e parents, bosses, public official etc. Being able to emotionally connect better with people than others. You also have ARCTURUS 23 degrees of Libra conjunct your moon which is associate with self determination, fortune through traveling abroad , long lasting success but the possibility of having a temper? Spica sits right on my vertex, which makes me rather uncomfortable. I'don't like anything aspecting my pesky vertex, be it a benevolent star. Any thought on this one would be highly appreciated, as I'm new to Spica and can't seem to figure out how it plays out in my chart Thanks a lot IP: Logged |

I can see why your not comfortable with Spica a benevolent star of great fortune on your vertex, you have a double dose of fixed energy with a Scorpio sun and Taurus asc. Fixed energy usually is fond of change and things outside of their control whether its good or bad. Spica on your vertex means when your vertex is activated by a person, planetary align etc with a corresponding placement touching your vertex, fortune things happen to you. The vertex is also called destiny's gate therefore great fortune is aligned with your destiny . IP: Logged |

Wow, that was so spot-on, thanks a lot ail221 ! I don't like it when people's personal planets aspect my vertex, it has always proved to be very painful. Perhaps fortunate, yes, depends on how you see it, but I'd rather stay stupid, immature and spiritually challenged than having to go through all the pain once again. Edit : vertex is opposing chiron in my natal chart, which may explain why these encounters were always negative ones. IP: Logged |

Thanks it helped me understand Spica a lot more. I didn't knew I had Arcturus aspecting my moon, I do seem to have a temper but i assume it had to do with moon aspecting mars. Than thinking about it astrology is very complex so there is probably other aspect in my chart that probably will explain my temper. ------------------ "You know that place between sleep and awake, the place where you can still remember dreaming? Hi,This is a really interesting topic for me personally because my MC is exactly conjunct Spica and my moon is a few degrees away. Wouldn't that mean success also? Even funnier I am challenged too, by the push and pull of it being squared my Sun and Neptune in Cappy. I thought Spica to mean a leap in sudden success or luck! IP: Logged |

I've been interested in Spica, I know it stands for great fortune and in my chart, Spica is Conjunct my Part of Fortune in the 12th House Libra, I have no idea how to interpret this as I don't really consider myself to be extremely lucky and I am definitely not in good fortune at the minuteIP: Logged |

Maybe Spica located here act like Jupiter in 12th, aka the guardian angel ? You may not feel "lucky" but somehow you're always rescued when you least expect it ? Just a thought IP: Logged |

With Fixed stars you'd stick to oppositions and conjunctions within 1 orb for validity. Spica conjunct the MC could mean success in the public, your career etc.

It is on the cusp between 12th and 11th I know I'm extremely lucky for my friendships and financially I've always been saved at the last minute when things go rough but that may be my Jupiter in 2nd House IP: Logged |

Anybody decide if an opposition to Spica / Arcturus has any effect? It's less 1° orb. IP: Logged |

I have it right on my Vertex too, and my Vertex is in my 6th house. I wonder if that makes it exalted because Spica is a star special to Virgo and the 6th house is the house of Virgo. quote: Originally posted by Aeole: Spica sits right on my vertex, which makes me rather uncomfortable.
