Nymphe is connected to a playful nature, sexual freedom/liberation just as the male counterpart Pan the goat god; the satyr. Nymphs were creatures that had the ability to change their form/shape from young beautiful women back and forth into trees, rivers, streams, flowers etc. They loved to sing, dance, and frolic in nature. They were know for not viewing sexual nature as something purely black and white, sexual things weren't corrupt its simply a part of nature. But they were very flirty and enticing by nature. The gods they were usually associated with or followed were Artemis goddess of the hunt, Apollo the god of the sun/music/prophecy etc, Dionysus the god of wine/party, Hermes the messenger god and Pan again the satyr. Nymphe conjunct Venus could imply a playful sexual or romantic nature. Example of Nymphe in a celebrity chart: Angelina Jolie
Nymphe in Pisces trine her Asc exact, Venus 1 orb, and NN 2 orbs.
Conjunct Pallas 2 orbs
Quincunx her Uranus exact Another
Elizabeth Taylor:
Nymphe in Cancer trine her Sun and Mercury 2 orbs
Conjunct Juno 3 orbs (possibly adding to her multiple marriages)

Not necessarily lust unless other afflictions are present. Some nymphs were chaste such as the nymphs that followed Artemis. Nymphs primary job was to take care of the planets and creatures in nature, cleanse the waters of rivers and streams, guard special healing water, some were even the nurse maids of young gods. Perhaps more of a connection to nature or nurturing. I suspect it can manifest as a liberal sexuality when young, but once matured it could provided a nurturing nature. I mentioned Angelina because she was known for her open sexuality but once she matured she settled into this more nurturing mother figure over night. IP: Logged |

I'll admit I am a bit of a love addicted, I like the feeling of being in love. I am also a bit bohemian well at least in regards to animals and plants but not insects...... I have Nymphe trine my moon, asc, mc, and north node.

I know someone who has Nymphe conjunct ASC in Pisces. VERY playful yes.
I myself have Nymphe conjunct Vesta in Capricorn in 1st house sextile Uranus in SCorpio on 11th house cusp.
Not so playful and not actively nurturing (no gardener inside of me), but I enjoy nature immensely, and sometimes I feel like I have to actually touch the earth to upload my batteries, which sounds a bit strange I guess. IP: Logged |

I have Sun conjunct Nymphe, (1 degree orb) and Venus (wider 2 degree orb) and am a pretty intense nature lover. If I'm not actually physically in nature-woods, river, etc. then I put myself there psychically, in an astral way, when I can, since it feels like a home for me while on this planet. Recently I moved very near woods and river, and am praying for them and send them healing energies as I feel intuitively that they need it, are asking for it. I almost feel that one of the reasons I was able to find this spot ( since I live in a big city, believe it or not), is that spirit sent me there to look after the woods and the nature around this area. I also help take care of it with others in other practical ways. It's a joyful connection; playful at times.It sounds really far out, and it's not something I talk about, but I feel compelled here to share this, since there's so little info, it seems, about Nymphe aspects. Hope this can help others understand it better, along with other comments here on the board. Since this aspect wouldn't stand alone from other parts of the chart, I also, for example, have the Sun Venus Nymphe conjunction supported by a trine to Neptune... IP: Logged |

I would totally agree with nymph being flirty and playful!! I have mine conjunct my DC and when i fall in love i feel like a kid, ive always needed someone who would play with me and we could tease each other.
My lilith tighly conjuncts nymph, under a degree....so its easy to turn being playful into more, but i need the light hearted play to open up my desire and keep me interested!IP: Logged |
