I noticed my Moon was conjunct a fixed star by less than 2° orb...looking into this I found a list of fixed stars .

I read thru the stars that are conjunct the angles and planets in my chart and most rang true for me, especially the description of the star conjunct my Ascendant. (2°44 Leo)

My Moon at 24°40 Taurus falls right between two fixed stars that express the primal sexual energy if both male and female. I think this might explain my high sex drive, and why I'm so connected to sex emotionally..

How do fixed stars affect you?

Moving to Asteroid Astrology (it also covers fixed stars).

stars are how I got into astrology~

Archaeoastronomy~ (because of studying archaeology for as long as I can remember)... astrology just seemed like the next logical step~ lol

Ptolemy and later, the occultists emphasize the use of stars in predicting weather and personal gains/losses (business/partnerships) dangers in travel and death. (often really negative stuff... figures though... wisdom that grows from the dark ages is usually full of depressing ideas... lol - since I've yet to know anyone who was beheaded even though they were born under a star of beheading, I kinda dismiss that as hogwash...)

Originally though, they were relied upon for prediction of weather/natural changes... before they were constellations... asterisms and folklore belonging to bright stars was the most important celestial divinition tool beside the sun and moon for ancient people all over the world. It surprises me how little attention and affection is paid to them~ <3

I use them now with transits mostly~ ^^; though, I'm fascinated when someone has stars that play out with their other aspects, recently I noticed someone who had a terrible childhood, before even knowing they had this... the stars indicated it in their houses and with the aspects in the chart backing it up~ so there's definitely something to be said for including stars in our everyday natal/synastry readings, (I believe)... though I try not to see them anything like planets... stars have energies of planets, but it is usually a combined form - like star A)performs in a chart like a hard aspect between Jupiter and Mars, OR star B)performs functions in the same manner as a Mercury, Venus, conjunction in Taurus ~ they can be very specific in their energy~ that's how I read them...

Anyway, before I write on and on, 'cause I love stars, probably more than constellation astrology =x *gasp* yes I said it! ^^;

The most important stars in my chart are Rigel, Regulus, Alpheratz, Zaurak, Facies, Polis, Spiculum, Sinistra, Acumen, Ras Algethi, Yed Prior/Posterior, Rastaban, Rukbalgethi Shemali, Zuben Elgenubi, Mhulifain, Princeps, Miaplacidus, Alkalurops,
Spica, Arcturus, Sadalachbia, Terebellum, Peacock, Oculus, Benetnash, Alaraph, Thuban, Capella, Altair, Regor, Hasseleh, Algol, Metallah, Azmidiske, Pollux, Wezen, Furud, Menkib, Cursa, Acamar, Deneb Algedi, Sadalsuud

My favourites are Rigel and Algol though~

they're all 0-1° (1° only where angles are concerned or dealing with Sun/Moon) cnj nodes/planets, 4 are square moon/sun. <333
