Does that mean desires and needs regarding a romantic partner harmonize with each other?

I think so....

My ex has the conjunction in sag, and it is right on my ascendant. The relationship was very Lilith-y (highly sexual, taboo, etc) but he expressed interest in marrying me, too. He could see me in both ways.

I just realized it might have something to do with my liking the idea of a long-term, commited relationship but not wanting to get married

Lilith is the dark feminine energy principle - the rebel, the 'feminist'; the seductive 'dark goddess'. It's also where you'll find rebellious or unconventional feminine sexuality - women with commitment issues, rather than just the male set.

Conversely, Juno is the institute of marriage - all about committed relations. Equality in those relations is a sticking point as well.

Coming into existence with these two paradoxical elements in so-called harmony can manifest several ways. One may certainly be a desire for say, polyamoury, rather than monogamy - or a legal marriage. This also strikes me as a feature where the female is driving the relationship, or otherwise 'in charge'.

Remember that Lilith can also refer to multiple relationships - parallel commitments, rather than serial. If some Uranus is in there, this may be your default. On the other hand, if it's Saturn, you may find that the legalisation - or what constitutes marriage - will be a part of your 'fight'. (Marriage equality = Juno after all.)

The sign will just help to determine the style or flavour, as will the house placement serve to further define its application. Afflictions will naturally cause conflicts, problems, potentially karmic debts to be settled in such type of relationships.

Traditionally, Juno is, well, traditional; her 'sister-goddess' (from another pantheon) seeks to upset the status quo by demanding liberty from the 'shackles' of the institution. Juno is subservient to her husband out of societal obligation. Lilith would NEVER submit to ANYONE for ANY reason - and especially not a man!

Are these two energies in harmony? Is there compromise among them, or are these polar opposites of your nature being brought together to bring something else to light? Consider unusual patterns of relating; non-traditional 'commitments' and female-empowered relationship styles. It'll help she'd some light on this complex interplay of feminine bonding energies.
