I am working on a guesstimate of a chart for a man who I am currently salivating over. I'm pretty sure I have his ascendant right based on my own crude methods (LOL). So it turns out he has Casanova within 3 degrees of AC. Bad news? Should I not even try with him? Will he break my heart?

3 is too loose for an asteroid

Nothing makes a person avoidable first look at his planetary aspects then re-examine his asteroids. If he had Casanova/Asc afflicting his Adonis, lust or Nessus I'd be more worried or Lust or Nessus in his relationships houses 5th, 7th or 8th. Casanova would make him appealing to the opposite sex, if you have his Casanova aspecting your natal planets you will probably be more susceptible to his "Casanova" asteroid. Ex. Marlon Brando, and Shannen Doherty had Casanova on their angles. The orb of conjunction depends on the individual astrologer. I find all harsh aspects i.e. Conjunctions, Squares, and Oppositions valid up to 5-6 orbs in natal charts, trines/sextiles 3 orbs tops, and quincunx 1-2 orbs. Also placements at past 23'28 declination would be considered "Out of Bounds" these placements tend to have even more influence than initially expected.
