Asteroid Salome 562 is actually a minor planet. The story behind the name come from:In Christian mythology, Salome was the daughter of Queen Herodias and stepdaughter of King Herod Antipas, ruler of Galilee in Palestine. Her infamous history comes from causing St. John the Baptist's execution. The saint John condemned the marriage of Herodias and Herod Antipas, Queen Herodias was the divorced wife of Antipas's half brother Philip therefore this was incestuous.
King Herod imprisons John, but feared the after effect of having a well-known prophet killed. Queen Herodias, Salome's mother was not appeased by simply the imprisonment of St. John so she pressures her daughter Salome to "seduce" her stepfather King Herod with a dance, making him promise to give her whatever she wished in return. At her mother's command, Salome asks for the head of John the Baptist on a platter. After Salome's "Dance of Seven veils", King Herod did her bidding and Salome brought the head platter to her mother. "Richard Strauss's one-act opera also named Salomé, first produced in 1905. Herod's lust for Salome is emphasized, which Salome uses to gain her wishes by performing the famous "Dance of the Seven Veils." Salome, in turn, desires to have John the Baptist — a new interpretation of the original myth. In the end, the only way Salome may have any part of John, quite literally, meant that she must demand his head be given to her. Salome fulfills her passion by kissing the dead lips of John's decapitated head, who had previously rejected her. This new and more familiar version of Salome depicts her as a seductress of her stepfather and a murderer of a saint, thereby becoming a symbol of the erotic and dangerous woman, the femme fatale." http://www.victorianweb.org/gender/salome.html On one side Salome can be portrayed as a femme fatale, a women who used her abilities as a performer and natural sexuality to get what she wished. Or you can view her as a sexual object that was used by her family more specifically by her mother as a tool to grant her objectives. In another light, the dance of seven veils comes from the myth involving the fertility goddess Ishtar/Astarte/Innanen of Assyrian, Babylonian, and Sumerian religions. Ishtar just as Persephone enters the underworld and on her journey Ishtar removes a layer of clothing or jewelry each time she passes through one of the seven gates into the underworld. Salome conjunct Casanova and Adonis in gemini ou la la
sextiles mars exact. I'm not really a powerhouse like Pam and BB but more of a nymph or sexual in a pleasing demure way if that makes sense.

Pamela anderson has some tight 875 Nymphe and 9563 kitty conjunctions to her personal planet as well. B.Bardot has her asc near the great attractor with a exact nymphe and kitty opposition within 3 minutes.
I looked up Pam Grier and she has Salome conjunct her North Node that says it all. I'd look at Pan the male counterpart of nymphe for your chart. IP: Logged |

I have kitty sextile jupiter exact.
Pan conjunct Fama
Nymphe conjunct eros and trines neptune exact with opposing pluto.^^ lol I'm not sexual in relationships (I'm more mental) but I tend to express my sexuality more in public, "if ya got it flaunt it." but I'm not overwhelming like a scorpio or aries.

Pan is related to being comfortable with earthy sensations and pleasures. Seducer of the innocent and gullible. He loves music, dance and celebrations but its also a creative asteroid. Fama, fame or rumors connected to the arts (pan).

Woah Interesting Ail, I am into the arts, I helped my class mate with a "performance" art piece that required me to be nude and a "sex object". Basically statue. It was tasteful in my opinion.

Actually we have the same aspect and house placement.  Mine is also Opposite my Sun/Jupiter but conjunct Innanen which makes me think there is probably more connected to the Assyrian/Babylonian myth.
