How do we interpret this? For example, my name asteroid is in the 8th house in Aries. What does it say about me?
Where is YOUR asteroid?

I'm sooo happy! I mean, cappy.

Not conjunct my Sun.

In fact exactly squrae my Moon. LOL

I once noticed though that often in the charts of other people, esp. guys, and sometimes in the composite, my name asteroid will fall at around 8-9 Pisces; and that is squaring my ASC, but also conjunct my ASC-ruler, so carrying quite a bit of my identity.

My husband's name asteroid (using his Portuguese name)is also in my 4th house.

In his chart his name asteroid falls on his ASC @ 3* (sq MC) from his 12th. (my 1st)
The name of our son and my own are cnj in his chart @ 2* in his 1st. (my 2nd)
His name asteroid makes sq to his Sun-Neptune, but sxt his Moon-Jupiter.
Our son's name is sxt his Sun, and Q his Venus.

My son's name asteroid in his chart is cnj his Moon-IC (from 3h)-(opp: Sun-MC/fm the 9h), Q Jupiter (5h Sag)

The name of his father is in his 10h, but very wide cnj Venus (Taurus). His daddy's name is sxt his North Node, sq Chiron (7h), and makes semisxt to his Sun/qnx to his Moon.

My name is widely separated (too wide, actually... 10*) from his own in the 3rd house as well (his is in Libra); sxt his ASC, bQ his Neptune, but square Pluto. (Virgo) ~interestingly enough, the position my name falls on in his birth chart happens to be the same spot his father's name falls his own chart (cnj ASC node), and happens to cnj my Karma (our 1h)

<3

Doc... is a total momma's boy (even his chart agrees. lol)

I did leave some other interesting connections out... (like my husband's sun being cnj both my name and our son's in my chart~ lol) ^^; hereditary astrology... hmmm...

There is an asteroid with a one-letter shortened version of my name, and another with my full name preceded by three letters, and their midpoint is conjunct my Ascendant.

There are quite a few asteroids which end with the shortened version of my name, but one that ties in the word "heart" to the name is the second closest asteroid conjunct my Sun. Tinker is the closest, and if you look at it right that half ties to my name as well. And when I mean close, I'm talking a 6" and 17" distance from what I recall, so close. "Heart + my name" conjunct my Sun. Coincidentally they're also a degree conjunct "the heart of the Lion", the star Regulus.

The "proper" name asteroid first mentioned is at 8 Gemini 26' with Pomona, Ceres, Varuna, Aglaja and more, a bit under 1 opposite my Neptune and 2 opp my Draconic ASC. 11th house.

Aglaea is one of the Graces/Charites and "was also known as Kharis ("the Grace") and Kale ("Beauty")". The name Keela came to me from nowhere, and a bit later I picked it for the username here. After which I was reminded about Aglaja conjunct my actual name as well, AND that Keela's "beautiful, graceful" meaning ties to that name - even if it's more Celtic in origins. "The word cadhla means beautiful and implies “a beauty that only poetry can capture.”"

You can't make this stuff up. Especially not when the other Grace, Thalia, is conjunct my MC, and the third one Euphrosyne is conjunct my NN, both by half a degree. Funnily enough, I don't feel particularly "good cheer"-y on the career side or "mirth"-ful on destiny sides, nor count as particularly graceful or splendorous physically, but that's what the chart says is there... so what I will do is find it highly amusing in any case. "Goddesses of charm, beauty, nature, human creativity, and fertility" I could go with otherwise from the nature and creativity sides though, so by all means that then. That Aglaja and my name tie to Ceres and Pomona as well further emphasizes that, but although I've had notes about grounding/earth and fairies (also, Tinker -> Tinkerbell?) as of late as well, I never felt that particularly garden-inclined. I think there's something there in any case though, but I haven't figured out the what yet.

The second "proper" name asteroid for me is at 4 Lib 27' conjunct Storm, Alona, Cybele and I forget what. MC is 2 Ari 46 so it's near the IC, too. As said, the midpoint of the two falls on my ASC. The midpoint of my Sun-name and the second name-ast is conjunct my Mercury at 16 Virgo, the other around 18 Cancer from what I recall. That'd be my brother's Sun and near or on my father's Saturn-ASC sides. My asteroid Kharis is at 20 Cancer.

The asteroid that closest has the sounds tying to my mother's name is 23 Cap 50' R in my chart, opposite my mother's Sun by 1,5 degrees. My mother's Moon is conjunct my name asteroid at 13 Gem in her chart, opposite my Valentine. My second name S. has an asteroid as well, and that in my chart is conjunct her ASC, my brother's MC, trine our father's Moon (+ Sun).

My father has my mother's "name" (or the closest sounding, as said) 3 degrees from his NN, conjunct my Antivertex. My first name asteroid in his chart is 2 Cap 55', conjunct my Draconic Sun/heartname, opposite my East Point (and so square my MC). My secondary name asteroid in his chart is 16 Pisces, opposite my Mercury, conjunct my Amor-Osiris. My names' midpoint in his chart is opposite his Pluto, or near my mother's DC.

My brother's chart has my name asteroid at 10 Libra, trine mine, opposite our father's Sun by 1,5d. There's more interaction between the family charts, but I think I've probably confused people enough already. There isn't a name asteroid for my brother, but St. Stephen is a precursor of sorts to it, and from what I recall, my chart has Stephen about 1,5d conjunct my Sun, on my Karma.

My apologies if that got complicated, but name asteroids tend to do a lot in any case. As to what they MEAN, I think you'd need to look up the meaning of the names first and go from there. Are there famous figures with the same name? What do they symbolize or tie to? Then see about internalizing the meaning to the house they're in and see if that tells you anything.

Re: Caseyo... Don't they like to use Casey-names to mean Cayce? Weird as the pronunciation is and made me write Cacey first, too. Whoo connection/s for you. Did you think of Project Manhattan style things for Manhattan, otherwise? I think you had nuclear things elsewhere in your chart as well if I remember my usernames right, and it wasn't someone else posting to my Chernobyl-thread back in the day.

Nepthys is the sister of Isis, consort of Seth, but apparently more so also a mother of a child by Osiris. Something like that, from what I recall. Persephone is Hades' consort, the queen of the underworld. Ceres' daughter, and yes, the pomegranate seeds mean she's tied to the underworld whatever the case. The mother got bitchy and refused to let things grow if her daughter wasn't returned to her, hence, seasons. /Mythology-abuse.

Ptah ties to Ubasti (or Hathor) by mates they say, and is about the artisans from what I recall. A maker? Tyche is about luck, like Fortuna. The Greek and Roman goddesses for fortunes, luck, such. IQ's posted about their differences somewhere.

Also, your first name asteroid is apparently about 11' opposite my ASC and last name asteroid opposite my 19 Sag Vertex. My Seraphine's 20 Pisces so those are almost connected by Antiscia, too. This and that.

Oh! Forgot about Edgar Cayce! Of course! ...and I call myself a student of the paranormal... For shame!

Yeah that trine to Caseyo would make even more sense then... I remember reading up a bit about Cayce back when I was younger. Still wondering what his mind's eye saw regarding Atlantis rising again...

BlackSeraph, glad I could remind you then. My Caseyo's 3 Sco 52' with Panopaea. "Nymph or goddess of the sea's broad panorama. She was probably, as her name indicates, associated with the sighting of land and approaching storms by sailors."

Caseyo-Panopea trine my Aura-Vibhuti-Goode in Cancer and Stonehenge-Reuter/Opportunity in Pisces, square Ostara-Magion-Hubbard-Randi... but I still couldn't say about sighting Atlantis, sorry.
