I was studying esoteric astrology and vulcan is the soul centered ruler of taurus.
"the planet Vulcan rules achievement. When you build something worthwhile, you achieve something worthwhile."

I think this conjunction contributes to my creativity and art, sometimes I do feel like Hephaestus. I just want to live in my studio and create. I don't really any other desire. Everything else is just a means to survive lol

Does anyone else have this placement?
I couldn't find anything specific about this placement
you would think esoteric astrologers would further study this planet they believe in...

I suppose you talking about this:
"As Aries represents the initial spark of pure Being, Taurus embodies the everlasting drive to substantiate energy, to magnetize form with that Arian spark into something tangible - imbuing it with Life. This is the function of Taurus on an involutionary arc.

It is said Taurus symbolizes the dual relationship between energy/matter and mind/energy. This relationship is expressed by the history of the Buddha, his path to enlightenment demonstrating the way to release Self from the glamour of non-self. In the mind of the ignorant, the world is divided in these two categories, creating attachment and perceived 'comfort'. As he isolates himself and his true worth from the world, he chooses the experiences and perceived values they represent as something to acquire, to substantiate with his own energy - and in the process loosing it. Remember the Matrix?

But on a deeper level, this attachment to outer forms is not dictated by rational contemplation, but by being addicted to the sensation of acquiring and possessing objects. The mind substantiates outer objects by magnetizing them with qualities, either being fueled by desire or aversion and in turn is itself thralled by the sensation of the idea of value, thus creating attachment. At this stage, we are in essence nothing more than animals. Thinking of the matrix, our mental energy is 'milked' by our own projected delusions, preventing us to see the real world.

It is said that the typical Taurean thrives in the acquisition of objects because they represent a certain worth, drawn to the energy they seem to represent. Thus, magnetism is the key to Taurus and it’s exoteric and esoteric rulers: Venus and Vulcan. Venus gives taste and colour to objects and sensations by forming a bridge between the subject and the objective outer world. Venus creates a pleasant or unpleasant sensation in the mind while the personality engages in establishing how he perceives and values the outer world.

Still, the more one acquires physically, emotionally and mentally, even more is discarded, isolating oneself from the wholeness of life. Constantly wanting more, yet slowly building one's own prison of ego-identification in the three worlds. The value with which we adorn ourselves is based on the fear-desire complex of being an isolated individual, separate from all the energy that makes Life whole. The energy that is represented by the objects of the three worlds and their value are doing quite the opposite of what their perceived function is - they imprison our mind within our own projected energy.

This is where Vulcan, the esoterical ruler of Taurus comes in: where Venus attaches our mind by projecting its energy onto outer objects, Vulcan detaches our mind by destroying the bonds once forged by Venus' glamour, putting us in situation in which we need to choose between the essential and non-essential, between the real and the unreal. Vulcan is not about comfort, it is about ability to liberate energy from its outer form, piercing the outer veils of illusion and persevering until spirit rules over matter - renewing the energetic integrity of the time-space continuum.

Vulcan reclaims all projected energy from all outer identification and refocus it with an almost unbearable clarity on the personality itself. It reveals the process of magnetism, by showing how the Soul is the master of the energies within our 'field of experience', rather than being their slave. Vulcan retracts all energy from all outer forms: mental, emotional and physical to render them utterly worthless and wholly dependent on the mind - the source of electricity or Life.

It is the mind that creates our perceived value of things and energizes them. By liberating the Soul from the thrall of the temporary, Vulcan reveals the truth and method towards being detached, autonomous and empowered to truly substantiate forms without being swept between fear and desire, he grants us the focus and endurance to go beyond momentary pain and pleasure and show us the way towards the emancipation of Uranus and climbing onto the fixed Cross" tribes.tribe.net/astrology...19b52e8b0b http://tribes.tribe.net/astrology_of_the_soul/thread/a2e44f44-93b7-4229-ae8f-114cf345 f8ed

Personally I am not sure if I would identify Vulcan with Taurus but I would Identify vulcan with the deity Hephaestus The god of forge, fire and craftsmanship husband of Venus/Aphrodite. He was known for creating the thunderbolts for Zeus, the chariot of Apollo, Hermes' helmet,Aphrodite's girdle, Eros's arrows and bow Achilles armor, Created Pandora and even created a unbreakable chain he used to capture Aphrodite and Ares ad mist cheating on him.He was a divine craftsman BUT pleasure in him creations and beauty were lacking from his existence. Every single goddess he was involved with wasn't interested in being married to him: Athena and Aphrodite. Even his own mother Hera didn't want to claim him as her's because of his disfigured body. Though he does have the tortured artist vibe, the ability to create beautiful things for others but lacking the ability to be truly feel loved or recognized they way he wants to be.

Natal chart:
Sun/Jupiter conjunct Vulcan.
Saturn opposite Vulcan.
