Love opens him up to his deepest feelings of vulnerability.
Love probably scares him to death because once he feels hes falling in love all the fears of being hurt, deceived, and vulnerable surface also. How close is the conjunction? If its very tight it may be to hard for him to overcome without some other major push to get him there...it would require a very patient, trusting, reassuring woman to help him overcome his fears...if its possible at all. Only he can decide to let someone help him and if hes not pushing to overcome the fears himself, then just move on...because nobody will be able to help him until hes ready and working on it for hmself.

His best bet would be an arranged marriage where the fears and questions arent there, theres no breaking up, no divorce. It takes the vulnerability out to an extent, but he will still fear opening up to loving someone even if he was to solidify a marriage/partnership.

Another possibility for this aspect is he's drawn to abusive relationships and always needs to work to prove his worthy of love. The actual act of being hurt, put down and made to believe they are the lesser person in the relationship is what begins the process of falling in love. After they have been established as the lower person, they will begin to try to prove they are worthy of love. Love is this battle, if hes not being victimized then he doesnt feel hes in love, because the 2 go hand in hand with him.

Where is his Nessus? If both asteroids make aspects to his personal planets he could be both, the tighter the aspect the more intensely it will be felt.
Then the aspects in the synastry would show how it would play out between you.

Nessus aspects are kept tight, 0-3 at most to a personal planet.
Aspects to Nessus will add a touch of assertive/aggressive all the way to purely abusive, of course hard aspects are the hardest to deal with. I would think since the squares cause so much stress and blocks, it could create an out of control temper without the ability to see it in themselves, denial!
