Lets make a topic about basics of Eros.Eros means intimate love. So whats the difference between venus & eros, mars & eros. I know mars is more like raw passion and sex drive. Is Eros like a blend of the two? From what I've read eros rules our sexuality, but I relate more to my martian sexuality. How important is Eros? Is it used more for synastry?

Yes. ADditionally Eros -according to Hesiod- was a primordial god (before becoming the son of Aphrodite in later myths), representing the spark of creation. While I can see how I am drawn to my Mars-sign, I am not drawn to my Eros-sign at all. However, it is very important in telling me what erotices me, or what I do need to feel full attraction. In my case Eros is in Cancer in 8th house conjunct Saturn, Vertex and far Sun/Moon-mp. Cancer is really the sign that might attracts me the least, however it is entirely possible that the SATurn-conjunction - though 4 degrees wide- wins out here, as it fits neatly with my 5th house ruler Venus in Capricorn. Do you attractive a lot of cancers? especially in the 11th house. Maybe you have a lot of cancer friends. I have saturn in aquarius and I like aquarians, I do find them sexy/attractive. Never dated one thou. Perhaps eros represents the type of people that are sexually attracted to us, not necessarily romantically. I can see why you're not into cancer guys...I have eros in taurus 12th house, I have a lot of taurus friends, I've never really dated a taurus. I am extra sensitive to touch, which I guess is a taureans thing. If someone touches me or hugs me with out even being sexual or flirtatious I get this weird tingle going down my back and my legs. I have Eros conjunct Mercury in Aquarius.'Never dated an Aquarius, but this could be part of the reason why I find intelligence more attractive than physical beauty. IP: Logged |

Would you say this has helped you to have a more personal communication style than other Aquarius Mercury you’ve interacted with? Or is Eros just more of a priority subject in thought for a more detached Aquarius Mercury experience?IP: Logged |

I don't know if my Eros helps me this way. maybe your second option fits me better. But I feel Eros maybe more in a friendly way with original men IP: Logged |

Yes, intimate, that’s a better word for what I meant. That’s interesting stuff, I’d also imagine like the sounds of your husbands’ experience, Hypatia238, maybe there’s something about Mercurial things that is experienced with more erotic feelings. Hence developing the love to talk and consume information. Sounds like a great conversationalist. Would you relate to a love for consuming information and conversation arcturus90, maybe more in comparison to others w your placement? IP: Logged |

My bad, could’ve worded that better, I meant relating to the experience of Hypatia28’s husband and loving to talk and consume a ton of information.IP: Logged |

Sometimes I love to talk but I don't know is my Mercury conjunct Eros is the reason, and other times I'm very silent. "consume information", I don't know what it means IP: Logged |
