Hi all,

Can someone tell me what it means when name asteroids make contact in synastry?

Our name asteroids conjunct each other.

My name asteroid in his chart is conjunct my ascendant and jupiter, trine my neptune and chiron, and sextile my uranus and pluto.

His name asteroid squares my moon, conjuncts my saturn, and trines my chiron.

My name asteroid is opposite his mars.

All the orbs are within 4 degrees, with the name-name conjunction at 2 degrees.

His name asteroid is widely conjunct my Venus - 8 degrees, so I didn't list it with the tighter aspects above.

That's got to mean something, right?

Name asteroids will be prominent in your chart of people that will be of significance in your life. Is he a love interest? Try plugging in the love asteroids and see if they make major aspects to the name asteroids (ie. valentine, amor, Adonis, eros, psyche, Aphrodite, briede, groom, union etc.). The orbs should be very tight (3 degrees or under.)

Hi Jojo,

Yes, this looks special. A conjunction with Saturn indicates a strong Karmic link depending on the orb.

The orbs between asteroids need to be within 2 degrees. However, you could stretch to 3 or 4 if it's an asteroid aspecting a planet. I think I read that somewhere. Perhaps others might chip in here with the correct assumption.

Name asteroids occur commonly in family charts, e.g, your name in your parent's chart.

There are various ways of looking at name asteroids. If his name is in my chart, then his name is what he is to me depending on aspects it makes, conjunctions being especially strong. For example, my bf's name is conjunct my Dsc in my chart - I see him as an ideal partner.

Or in synastry - his name is conjunct my Moon (0) and my Chiron (1). I will have much emotional involvement and he will bring me healing (or pain according to some astrologers).

Thank you for the replies. The orbs are all fairly tight. 4 degrees or less, with the name-name conjunction at 2 degrees.
