Let's say, a Ceres/Nessus conjunction in the Natal Chart. One is a nurturing asteroid, the other seems to bring abuse.

How would this work if they were to aspect another person's anything? Would the qualities of one or the other asteroid be subdued or amplified?

The Ceres/Nessus person might be fiercly protective of the other person, with the intent to nurture and care for them, but perhaps in a more aggressively-possesive kind of way?
Sort of like a tough-love kind of thing I'd imagine.
