Well Ceri

Jupiter seems like it makes planets"good" in a way that it does not with "bad" asteroids like Nessus etc

This has been my experience. Jupiter does not seem to mitigate the harshness of Nessus but exacerbate it.

Jupiter was a failed star, it never gained enough energy, so that's why it's such an expansive energy. So an astrological body that makes contact with it will be boosted by Jupiter just making it more prominent.

The sun illuminates too but that energy seems to become apart of the sun rather than retaining its own individuality.

No, you`Re right.

Jupiter expands what it does. People think that is a good thing, but it can easily get too much, out of hand.

I mean think of it, would you want a tumour to expand? Not really a good thing, right? In these instances having Saturn close might be preferable. lol

However, often it feels good to have Jupiter aspects (though other people might not be soo enthusiastic about it.

Nessus-Jupiter might not be a problem for the Nessus-Jupiter-per son, but for someone putting their Dejanira on this, could be not that welcome. We would think Jupiter will protect Dejanira, but I donīt think so (not totally sure yet), if Jupiter is conjunct Nessus natally, the person might een think they have a RIGHT to get whatever they want, no matter the cost.

But as I said I am just musing, not really certain about it yet.

I know someone with Jupiter conjunct Mars in Vigo in 6th house - he BURSTS with energy, especially in a working context, but he overdoes it. His schedule is INSANE. I wonder how he manages to stay sane for real!

Great analogy about the tumor. Jupiter does that to the "bad" asteroids. It surprised me because I thought it would mitigate them but it seems to make them iron men lol

Aphrodite is more about beauty, the admiration of that beauty, charm and sexuality.
Admiration of beauty doesn't equal love.

Mmm, for me it's kind of confusing how it can be given different interpretations to words that have the same meaning. Cupid/Eros and Venus/Aphrodite being the case here. It looks for english speaking people the greek ones are supposed to be interpreted in the purest form of what the name implies (eros-romantic looove, aphrodite-beauty), but the latin ones can include a whole lot of different things.
More versatile so to speak? I'm greek so I only use the greek words, lol. Anyway, for a lover relationship mutual admiration of looks is most often the starting point, so it's a matter of interest I'd say. Especially in synastry, wouldn't you agree? I'm not someone who falls *in love* easily or have some deep kind of emotions for others so I don't feel like arguing the point in any case. I think your description fit me spot on btw.

My Eros is conjunct my valentine on my IC, all within a degree....I feel it! When I deeply fall in love sacrificing and doing things for them keeps me deeply attached and turns me on! If I don't have something to give and a way to serve the relationship I feel valueless and get depressed.....eventually I lose my love for them because my most very basic and deepest needs are not met!
I have a hard time letting someone do anything for me, I've overcome that to an extent but it's still a challenge!
I like having an obstacle to overcome at the beginning of a relationship, like long distance or anything that requires we work together to overcome! Once I had a guy who was a recovering addict, I went to his meetings with him, stopped drinking at all and I totally loved doing all of that with him!
These kind of things endear me to them and I feel needed. Without all of this, good luck getting anywhere with me sexually, you can't turn me on! But if someone hits all those buttons look out, because my Pluto is an exact square to this and Jupiter makes a t-square between all three...a lot of sexual tension is wrapped up in that t-square!

Yes, be careful about that Jupiter.
He is not all that benevolent all the times.

Just think of his personality in the myths. lol
Or ask Juno.

I never studied Jupiter in the myths. There is so much to study lol

It is weird that I found Jupiter to make things worse because I did not expect it at all.
My Gemini is good because I will pick people's brains about their charts.
I am in about 8 study groups for Astrology. I ask questions and questions of people

Messalina(545) sorry spelled her wrong

With her accession to power, Messalina enters history with a reputation as ruthless, predatory and sexually insatiable. Her husband is represented as easily led by her and unconscious of her many adulteries until informed that she had gone so far as to marry her latest lover, the Senator Gaius Silius in 48.

One is the story of her all-night sex competition with a prostitute in Book X of Pliny the Elder's Natural History, according to which the competition lasted for 24 hours and Messalina won with a score of 25 partners.

Her husband then ordered her death and she was offered the choice of suicide. Too frightened to stab herself, she was killed by the arresting officer.

Very sexual, can be over sexed, used for sex, sexual abuse, being lied to in order to get to me for sex, its an exact square to my Medusa....ive had a lot of issues with guys lying to me and breaking my heart. In the past sexuality of any kind usually ended with me in pain...having Sirene there seems to have an effect like guys go into a trance and forget, or push it out of their heads that they have wives, girlfriends and will tell me anything to get me to be with them.....2 relationships went on for nearly a year lying to me, long distance...of course. I was completely in love until i find out the truth.
After it was all over and i ask why...they said, 'i dont know what happened i just lost my head and stopped thinking', these werent low class guys, they were normally decent sweet good guys!
Maybe its just a cop out! Maybe? But if you read about Sirene, it sounds like that energy. Both ended their long term relationship/marriage after that.

Because all the pain id went through over and over, long ago i went through a short lived phase that i wanted to know why everyone lied to me and hurt me, wondered what was so great about it?
I started doing the same thing to guys that they did to me, but i hated it, it hurt...and i learned a lot from that. Mostly i learned how to spot the liars by their behaviors because i had to learn how to behave like them in order to do what they did. I also learned i didnt want to hurt anyone, it hurt me more to hurt them than it did to be hurt by them.

Now, i make people walk the line...nobody can get to me unless they love me and prove it, i want to know their whole life before ill open up...and forget about sex until youve proven yourself completely. I'd prefer to not have sex than to take the chance of someone lying and hurting me just for sex....learning about love and sex, learning how a man behaves when he loves you versus just wanting to get with you has been a huge theme in my life.

The positive...when in love, sex is amazing taken to crazed level and Sirene does give an ability to mesmerize someone without even meaning to, so when im in love this is an amazing thing to have with that person, the way they look at you makes you feel so special, you can see in their eyes they cannot think, they are totally running off emotions.
Funny thing about Sirene is it isnt within itself always sexual.
The Sirene's didnt have sex with men, they just made the men go into a trance thinking they were in love with these creatures, they saw the Sirenes as the most beautiful creatures ever, when in reality the Sirenes were not pretty! Sirene energy is more of a complete drooling 'im head over heels in love, i adore you and cant get enough of you' type energy.
Then Messalina on venus....Prudishness is out the window...anything and everything is up for exploration.

A strange t-square-
Venus libra@19-1st
Messalina libra@18
Sirene libra@19
--
Medusa cancer@18-10th
--
Angel capricorn@17-18-4th

@kerosene what is the effect if both cupidos are conjunct? My are 2 degrees apart on my Kaali, Lilith and Uranus Scorpio last few degrees of my 1st house.
Maybe my love for the chase is incorporated into a real relationship, I'm all about keeping it exciting! I would think my relationships get more exciting the longer they go, I love finding new ways to fall in love all over again and I'd totally be one to meet my husband in a bar and pretend we don't know each other n have fun reacquainting ourselves!
