What exactly does it represent in a natal chart? I came across it recently and was under the impression it had something to do with the life path (??) but as I mulled over it, I sort of..just didn't understand. Sorry for all these questions lately, I'm just curious

(Sirius in my chart is in Cancer, 12th house, 7 degrees away from ascendant but i'm not sure if that's too wide). Thanks again

okay, thanks
But what about Sirius in general? I know its a fixed star, but how influential have you/anybody found it to be and what does it represent? I'm trying to find mythology and stuff behind its name, but there isn't much.

Sirus is the sun of the sun, the alpha dog star. Sirus is the heart of our solar system, i believe the Egyptians used Sirus to record time.
Sirus is related with Anubis.
It is the Alpha star of Canis major.

If you have Sirus placed in strong aspect to a personal, or wherever Sirus is placed in your chart, you will believe you are something "Special" at it. It is an energy of dark resilience, but also a bright light. It is the dog star, Sirus tends to get on peoples nerves because of the colder ego, not the ego like the sun.
Anubis is the guardian of the dead and the most worshiped deity in Egypt after Horus.

Sirus is the largest star visible in our sky.

Yeah .. to some extent.
Someone i know has his Sun conjunct Sirus exact in Gemini , he said to me
" I think i could have sex with any Girl i like"

Sirius with Sun gives you a strong sense of self. It gives you a big ego. You have a strong character and have a wolflike(Dog) appearance. Sirius gets respect, you look relatively wise and have an interest in dark art subjects (Anubis/Sirius black)

Dog = God backwards says something for Sirius ..

Sirius conjunct Vesta and Vertex in Gemini 8th house.

Interesting take on Sirius.

FruityLlama, 7 degrees is far too wide, for AC on important fixed stars, usually a maximum of 1º30" or 2º degrees is used, thought 2º is already stretching too much. For other planets is usually up to 1º degree conjunction, AC is allowed for a wider orb due to possible wrong birth time (a change in one's birth time minutes can result in AC in different degrees).
