Topic: What do you do to pull yourself out of a depression?

I've been researching an asteroid Deprez-9795
for the past year or more and it seems this is an outlet point for our depressions...our depression manifests in the ways of what it touches.
Also....it gives a clue to what would ultimately help you heal your deepest pains....it seems to show what your soul needs to do in order to pull the pain out of you and purge it's energy or release it so you can move on and be happy!Examples....
Conjunct mercury might be a person that always think and express being depressed or just speak depressively in general. Talk therapy would probably be very effective for them....if they can vocalize the pain they can reach it and try to pull it out.
My Pluto conjunct my Deprez shows my depression can caused me to be self destructive!
When I get depressed if I can tear up my closet or some room in the house and throw out all I'm not using and put it back together better....it brings me out of my depression!!
This gives a clue how i heal in general, i can effectively deal with my depression by tearing everything up and rebuilding it. Healing comes through feeling I am making progress and leaving no stone unturned in finding all the ways my pain has affected me and changing it. Moon conjunct deprez would be really feeling your depression emotionally very deep! They will fall in deep dark holes of pain or just numb their feelings because it hurts to much!!
To overcome your depression you would have to work through the emotions, really address the feelings...allow yourself to accept and feel them again and then use them, act out what you feel , if it's hatred, hate until you don't hate anymore, if it's fear, allow yourself to fear until you don't feel the need or you see there nothing to fear anymore....accepting not rejecting the emotions the key that will allow them to purge the pain! You can say... Anyone will feel their pain and want to talk about it and it will help them heal. But that's not true!
For me, I hate talking about being sad, and I hate feeling sad even more! So when those feelings surface feeling them or talking about them gets me even more frustrated....I get rid of them by forcing myself to be productive and examine them, not feel or talk about the because that will make me feel worse!
I think someone with it conjunct mars would want to act their pain through anger....they would get healing from a therapy that included some sort of physical activity, like boxing or something....they would be another that would not want to feel it or talk about it!
Conjunct Uranus might cause someone to do impulsive things....drink, eat, compulsively spend, sex....as they try to stop hurting! Healing would come from focusing their independence and originality on things that build their self esteem...and help them feel valued as an individual.Conjunct Venus might be someone who uses love or a relationship as their self esteem and can't be without a relationship or they fall apart. Healing would come from accepting nobody can make you happy unless your already happy and then spending time alone and learning to love yourself.

That is weird. I wrote a post asking if I could use your info in an article and I would put your name on it as the author. I would like to do it and send it to my 8 or so Astrology groups where people comment. Then we could learn more.

That's cool Ami, sure you can use it all! Will you let me know what others find?  Strange I knew someone that our relationship or just them in general woke me up to how much pain I was in, their energy alone could bring me out of a depression to.....their deprez is exact on my Aura.
They brought deprez into my aura and that allowed me to see my pain and forced me to start healing. My aura is square my Chiron!

Ugh...your depression can prevent you from balancing karma if you let it, your karma and depression are closely connected....so when you clear one, you will be clearing both, 2 birds with 1 stone, at least there is an upside to that placement!
When you get depressed what is it that's helps you bounce back? Figuring that out will help you understand your karma and what will help you balance it!
I would also think that it meant the things that depress you have stemmed from the same things that have created the karma needing to be balance. The Pluto connection shows your healing will be at it's best when your willing to get deep and pull your guts out and fix what's wrong and then start to rebuild on a foundation that is based on your true needs! Ewe....I would think this would be a very hard placement because your depression is emotionally fueled, to an extreme!
When you get sad it's like the world is crumbling around you and nothing else exist except your pain....nobody can comfort you nobody can reach you! Have you ever seen the movie, "What Dreams May Come " with Robin Williams? Awesome movie, but in the part where his wife is living through her pain she sees herself living in their home but in her eyes everything has fallen apart, the house is so old and it's crumbling to pieces but she must stay in it , there is no lights, water or heat, she sees huge spiders everywhere, and to her this is where she must remain...nobody can pull her out of seeing life on this way....when Robin Williams tried to say, I'll fix that...we can change that she would go deeper into the pain and get worse instead of better...she didn't want it to end she was punishing herself and wanted to be in pain so nobody could help her....her desire to fall deeper in her hole was part of her depressive nature and only her choosing she was done hurting would allow her to come out of it!

Thanks Gabby! This is really interesting. Mine is in sagg in my 7 th house . It conjuncts Saturn at 3 degrees and is semisextile Pluto at -0.35 I don't understand the negatives in front of somenumbers. I also am not quite sure how to interpret these two. But I can agree that since its in sagg, sometimes I feel like hopping on greyhound and going anywhere. It being in 7 th may mean that being with others helps me. Is there anything else I should know?
