I understand that in a man's chart, Venus (by sign and house) shows what kind of woman he finds beautiful, attractive, a "walking-talking Aphrodite" to him.

What about Aphrodite in a man's chart?

Venus is the Roman equivalent of the earlier Greek goddess Aphrodite.

Thanks, Ami

"Venus is the Roman equivalent of the earlier Greek goddess Aphrodite.'

Hi, Delilah. Yes, I'm aware of that, but I assume Venus and asteroid Aphrodite in a chart don't mean the same thing. Or do they?

I haven't studied Aphrodite specifically, but if they are essentially the same goddess, I would think the interpretation would be similar.

One would need to study the differences between the Greek and Roman myths to understand the differences between the two goddesses that might affect the interpretation. Some astrologers also consider the discovery chart of the asteroid as well.

Similiar yes, same no.

Asteroids are usually more specific, at least that is what I read.

Aprhodite is more sexualized for example than Venus.

Aphrodite in Aqua- conjunct MC Saturn and Ceres

Uhhhhh I'd say I always find extreme beauty more appealing.

Bold brows, black lipstick, and sharp cat eyes are always striking to me VS. natural beauty.

I know a lot of men don't like all of that lol

I find FKA Twigs ridiculously beautiful 0_0

Interesting, Ceridwen! So it's more like what a man finds "hot", a woman who is beautiful, but in a "hot" way.

Any other men identify with their Aphrodite sign/house "hotness" like Kerosene here? Where's your Aphrodite?

I'm quite fascinated with Aphrodite today and checked it in a synastry with my SM .

His Aphrodite is in Libra and mine is in Cancer.

I'm libra moon and he is cancer moon.

Thought that was interesting!
