I'm not very good at this, but to me, Siva represents powerful spiritual energy, somewhat like Kaali but more positive/beneficent and masculine, rather than negative and feminine.

Shiva is a major Hindu god, part of the Hindu "trinity" which includes Brahma and Vishnu. "Brahma is the creator of the universe while Vishnu is the preserver of it. Shiva's role is to destroy the universe in order to re-create it." [This is an oversimplification, but the most succinct and practical definition I can find].

You cannot, however, use just the word "destroyer" as that does not capture the complete essence; it is also about re-creation and re-birth after death/loss.

Siva is your divine masculine energy, Siva can control Kali your divine feminine kundalini energy.
Control in a way that a husband with the wife in the past, they are a vedic themed couple and two very powerful asteroids in astrology.
Picture's of Siva as a Masculine Lion of destruction and reibrth and Kali as a crazed black feminine energy demon hunter show good representative's.

In some ways Siva is a White Man and Kali is a Black Man.
Kali enables you to get on with your fellow man and be respectful to one another, with a prominent Kali you will get annoyed with people with the wrong respect for life, this is why Kali is known as a demon hunter, whereas Siva is more being in control of yourself and doing what you think is right regardless of others, being a force of destruction and rebirth, similar to Mars.

A prominent Siva you will be going around doing what you want to do, focusing on your own objectives etc.

A prominent Kali you will be getting on with people, having conversations, being respectful and in peace. Kali has a strong astral emanation. It is is the subject of the book "The hammer of good" Which if looked into has alot of meaning on what Kali is.
Kali is a good energy for meditation and yoga.
