Yes, Bacchus is the Roman version of the earlier Greek god Dionysus. I think Bacchus probably has a bit more of a "drunken" or "orgy" nature in the popular consciousness because of the Roman Bacchanalia. For a great discussion of them in synastry with Ariadne, see:
