Lovely image, Moonfish!I have Melusina conjunct my Asc and very active in synastry. There appear to be a variety of tales about Melusina - and these seem to differ from country to country in Europe. Found these : "The psychoanalyst Carl Jung took an interest in her role in alchemy. Here Melusina is a manifestation of Luna - the element of dark, cold, water, and spirit, and as such she makes the alchemical union with her opposite: Sol, the source of warmth and light. The union is known by alchemists as the "chymical wedding," which signified to Jung the union of body and spirit, consciousness and unconsciousness." www.theglobeandmail.com/arts/books-and-media/on-melusina-and-on-women-in-love/article4284481/ Also this which could apply to many women: "The story of Melusina ... came to signify for me the difficulty that women have living in a man's world - almost as if women are beings of another element." If you're talking fantasy ones, where did you leave Fantasia? (Mother) Hubbard might pass for one, too, not sure. Your call if you rate "skien-tologee" as fantasy or not for its other association. Wasn't there something like Sirene, too, for more siren style fantasy figures? Mythological origins or not. Grimm, for fairytales? IP: Logged |

http://www.daykeeperjournal.com/2012/08/olympic-swimmers/ They mention prominent Merman Weird because when I was in middle school our team won a state diving competition and everyone thought I would compete nationally but I was not into it lol. But I prefer open water sports and usually not competitively but so has Merman conjunct mars and is really into surfing competitively. those with prominent Melusania may be addicted to starbucks lol...

Alwine, "elf friend" as one translation from what I recall. Tinker isn't quite Tinkerbell but closest to it. I think there was Seelie somewhere as well for the Seelie courts stuff, but I don't remember some others that I think tied to what you asked about. Too long awake and too tired for the brain to work.
