I recently became familiar with the asteroid aurua, i don't know much about it.Mine is 23 degrees taurus in the 12th house, conjunct mercury. anyone know how it may play out in the 12th? IP: Logged |

Hi!-You like giving work to Mods huh!  *Well, the real question is, Mercury conj Aura... but aspecting what?
Aura conj Mercury gives the predisposition to be very focused and to act as a communicator and all those mercurial skills. IF not afflicted.
When afflicted the interpretation may differ dramatically.
And I can't say much about it, because I don't have the whole chart. On the other hand, the 12th house is a house that holds many "letfovers" from past times.
In any of the cases, it's not negative unleast this conjunction is very afflicted, so the energy of this conjunction can't manifest properly. *Having a Mercury in the 12th house is not something bad, It's like having a venus in the 8th house.
In a simple example: Venus would feel better in the 2nd but it would be in "detriment" in the 8th. Mercury would feel better in the 6th
, but it would feel very "special" in the 12th. To conclude, a Mercury in the 12th when not afflicted is never bad, it just manifest in a very different way. IT'S MORE INTUITIONAL THAN ANALYTICAL.
A very mystical placement when conjunct with Aura.
If strong, you may be able to "download some info".

I have this exact, Aura conjunct Mercury in 12th, I agree with Gembird it brings more focus to Mercury -- can make one good at research, words, writing, good with recognizing connections between people via conversation or intuition, ability to pick up subtle tones in communication, atmosphere, mood from others, news, and/or networks, possibly can pick up the deep intentions of people without realizing it, may get annoyed quickly by people when they speak or communicate. May know what words to say in a crisis or how to respond to a large group of people -- good speech writer of sorts. Your Aura is in Taurus, so you probably seek stability or know how to ground people with your words...possibly people automatically feel safe when you talk to them. Beauty in words or voice. You prolly have a very intelligent vibe about you and you look this way, too. You do. I saw the picture  However, if Merc is in the 12th, too, it is probably hard to express what you want to say and if Aura is here, people may feel this about you because what conjuncts Aura is very hard to hide. Haha, well thank you for the compliment, that's nice to hear Yes mercury is in 12th but it's only 1 degree from the ascendant so i think that might facilate the expression somewhat. I can also relate to what Comatoes said; I usually am able to express my toughts with ease, and i tend to pick up on peoples true feelings/intentions fairly good. However my mercury is afflicted: it's conjunct mars and opposite pluto. aura is aswell but the aspects is a couple degrees wider than mercury.

It is conj the ASC then, PP. So, it is not a 12th House planet------------------
