I've always felt like the house placements, angles, and asteroids reveal MORE to the synastry/composite than the planetary aspects.

Any thoughts?

The planets are very much a foundation as are the aspects. You can't say one is more important than another imo

I don't think it can be weighted like that.

If that is what stands out for you when you read charts than that is what is more important for you at the time of your readings. We are all directed intuitively to notice what is important for us at the time. I don't think it has anything to do with designating a priority in general.

I seem to always look first at which House North Node and Saturn fall into when doing Synastry charts before noticing aspects. In fact, visually, it's quicker and easier for me to notice house placements in synastry first because I don't have to take time to calculate aspects. These can tell much. But not more or less important than any other mathematical relationships for me.
