I don't think he was particularly victimized, except as a huge open heart who saw how hard the world can be on many people...in fact he largely wrote his own ticket and used his wealth to help countless people and causes.
As to Prey, he was victimized in his young life by dense people...voted Least Likely to Succeed in his high school yearbook...and must have had a terrible time connecting to "normal" schmoes whose imaginations and energy were left in the dust by his...but he used that and transcended it beautifully..
He was a classic bipolar who had a cocoine problem at some point:
During a manic episode a person will have some of these symptoms:
Experience an unusually long period of feeling happy and on a “high”
Talking very fast and have racing thoughts
Be extremely restless
Start multiple new tasks
Have an unrealistic belief in ones abilities
Participate in high risk behaviors
Have difficulty sleeping
Be extremely irritable
During a depressive episode a person may:
Remain overly sad for a long period of time
Lose interest in activities that they once enjoyed
Will feel overly tired and “slowed down”
Become indecisive
Be unable to focus or concentrate
Think of death or suicide
He was going through financial problems and as a result was forced to take on multiple projects from a TV show to over 4 movies all happening around the same time and he tends to get depressed when he is overwhelmed. Also like you said had recently found out he has parkinson's disease which put on the pressure further to focus on his career and make money before the disease took over.
None the less the details of how he was found seem to indicate it was not suicide. Most people I know who are very depressed and want to die adamantly report they would never kill themselves bec they love their kids soo much and he loved his kids a lot. I think even if he wanted to die he wouldn't kill himself bec of his kids.
