Thank you! I'm sorry that I'm so late in responding, you just caught me when I was absent.

Which asteroids do you suggest that are Finland-related?
I have no past life memories of Finland, I don't think, I always sort of felt that it's not related to me, but that people close to me would have the connection.

Thank you! I'll run a check.
Just as a link I already know from before, I have used the Kalevala as a writing inspiration. I have some sort of intuitive emotional tie to that epic but I'm not sure why.

My Kalevala is not on any major placement, but it is in Pisces(intuitive, emotional link), exactly trine my MC. So there's that.

There are not many links with real places, but several with the mythological characters.
Ilmari is on the MC, exact. Ilmatar is making an exact T-square with Sun and Jupiter and Ukko is on Jupiter.
Also, Vaino is on 29PIS. I consider that degree in general very important. It also conjuncts my Draconic Sun.

How do they look in your chart?

Sampo and Viipuri conj. South Node;
Kalevala conj. Mercury exact,
a stellium of Suomi, Louhi, Väinö and Kollaa within 3 degrees;
Ilmari conj. Chiron, and
Summa conj. Pars Fortunae.

Thank you for the additional asteroids!
Your Kalevala-Mercury conjunction is interesting. How do you see that expressing itself? I'm also curious about your Ilmari-Chiron connection. Do you use the old mythology in interpretation, or the new? Or both as an evolution?

I thought this might interest you guys, scroll down for Finland~

Also Pohjola (3606) is a cold, dark place in finnish mythology. It's the home of Louhi.

I have that asteroid conjunct my Sun-Moon conjunction and I'm finnish.

Hm... I grew up with these myths being told to me orally, so they kind of seeped into the unconscious a long time ago; and today I use these memories, plus all the variants on record, to sort of distill the common essence from them. Kalevala conj. Mercury perhaps shows that I have an affinity for mythological thinking in general, and of course I like Kalevala. Tolkien used it a lot, and I also like bis writing based thereon (asteroid TOLKIEN is exactly on my MC as well). As for Ilmari, that's difficult because it was also my grandfather's name, so the meaning of the mythological figure is kind of blended with his personality in my perception. He was wounded in his soul as a result of terrible war memories, so while he always seemed powerful, he also carried this invisible wound.

I personally find the Väinö conj. Louhi pairing also very interesting - two antagonistic powerful shamans united. Many people in my family have an occult gift of some form or other.

Your family history sounds very interesting. How lucky that there is an asteroid named the same as your grandfather. Did you check the placement in his own chart?
What do you think Väinö conjunct Louhi might represent for you?

I do know that Tolkien used the Kalevala! I have to say that I'm not such a huge fan of his work but I do respect it, and the trend of Nordic mythos popular appreciation that it ushered in.

Of the new asteroid list, I found Mikkeli exact on my Venus. I guess I need to visit one day. Oh and I also found that my Louhi and Pohjola are exactly trine, and they make a Grand Trine with my Mars/Chiron. It's an Air GT, in water houses.

On the topic that you mentioned in your first post, have you found any evidence of asteroids and past-life connections?

You have a very interesting story with your grandparents.

I know a bit about Finland's role in the war, it's so fascinating. The famous Finnish sniper is a figure that stands out very much in WW2 personas to me. I used to read about his techniques, what an amazing feat of endurance and willpower. Although war should certainly not be something that's glorified, I can't help but be impressed.

I like your interpretation of Väinö/Louhi, two contrasting styles of shamanism blended together, that makes sense. And it would quite increase your natural abilities imo, since it's such a concentration of your heritage. Do they somehow relate to asteroid DNA maybe? It would be quite curious if they did. Or do they maybe relate to esoteric asteroid Cabbage in some way?

Your grandma was a tough lady. Mine was only about 9 years old when the war started and it really defined her life. Her father was killed in the war and she still thinks about him to this day. Her childhood was really cut short, she had younger siblings to take care of and had to grow up very, very quickly. Since she raised me, I had to listen to her rant about WW2 nearly every day of my childhood, oy vey.
But enough about war, I think.

Your stelium is really interesting in that it's related to your heritage so much, and that you were exposed to the archetypes as a child. The DNA T-square with Jupiter/Wisdom and Saturn is so indicative of a lineage of sages. What kind of spiritual work do you do in your daily life, if you don't mind answering? I know the Finns are an intensely private people in general, I resonate with that and I respect it.

I agree with you that the world is the best teacher. There might be a good phase for someone to seclude themselves in a monastery, to enjoy the comparative lack of challenges and just focus on going inward, but this can, essentially, be just a phase. Eventually you have to leave the monastery and apply those lessons to "common" life.
Your practice sounds wonderful. You must have a lot of self-discipline to be able to practice so steadily.
I find Taosim to really resonate with me, but have serious problems in sticking with any one discipline for too long. The world is my experimental lab, in a way. A typical Gemini Mars issue.
I try a lot of things, and see what works, take the lessons of whatever I try with me to the next thing. I am hoping I'll get more disciplined with time and experience.

Thank you for the new batch of asteroids, Moon is Lunatic.

Vajra, I agree with you. The world is the best testing ground. To put it in a very modern perspective, it's easy to be sober in rehab.

That's a very Saturn's Return story that you have. Being tested on the most valuable ground(the health), and then things falling into place after it.
I get what you mean by karmic paths and understanding. Letting go of things but keeping them in mind for later is a good decision. It shows trust in the world that is a mark of a very old soul, I think.
