Hi
I have recently added about 20 asteroids to my chart, and each week I seem to read up on another Asteroid. Then add this one.
So how many Asteroids would you add to your Chart? and how would prioritise them?
As once you get over 50 its hard to read a chart.
I can add upto a 1000 asteroids!

I found it helpful to list them in a table with degrees according to house and sign. This way I can see which are conjunct or in aspect to each other. This forms a reference list that I continue to add to .

I think it is important to always look at the "big 4" (Ceres, Pallas, Juno, and Vesta). There are maybe 10-20 or so others that I use with some frequency, especially in synastry and composites.

Otherwise, while they can be fun, I think it's a waste of time to worry about them too much. I can't imagine working consistently with 50 or more asteroids. There are thousands of them.

I use about 300 asteroids so when I do a professional chart, I need to make about 10 or more separate charts.

However, each person will have only a few asteroid Themes.

Hi Amy Anne

Do I assume you you lump together certain types of asteroids for each chart, Like all the Love Asteroids on one Chart, all the Health asteroids on another chart?

Agree with this. It can be easy to get overwhelmed by asteroids.

I use the main four (Ceres, Pallas, Vesta, Juno) all the time with all transit/progressions/return charts, but for psychology analysis I only look for asteroids in close conjunction (orb one degree) with the angles or planets in the natal chart.

It is easiest to look for the strongest factors first (conjunction, orb of one degree) and then gradually building from there (closest aspects to that).

I have all my asteroids on my list and just plug them in for each chart. I have about 300.
