Hey All...So Ceres, Nymph, Nessus all conjunct my Cancer Asc. Schrodinger is also in the 1st, in Leo. As well as Orcus Leo. As you can see the house is really small... small ego? lol- So I was curious as to what theme is playing out with these placements, and all connections to the 1st house? Trying to understand... Davy, This is pasted from Cafe Astrology - "The 1st house is the house of self-discovery and you need to explore your talents and limitations in order to assess the feasibility of the project you have in mind. In reality, the project is only a focal point of attention urging you to investigate your own abilities." Have you seen the articles on various asteroids in the Reference Library on this site? Many of these describe the significance of the first house. IP: Logged |

Yes of course I have read... Well I have done searches and read about each, but maybe if you would be so kind to possible post a link to the reference library since I cant seem to find it.. oy. Im seeking information about the mix of all these asteroids, and what myth may be playin out that I'm unconscious of with this combo. Everything is piece by piece trying to paste together a larger context. Instead of nessus here means this, and ceres here means this, and orcus, etc... What are my own abilities with these placements? How does it effect my body? self image? The self, the self-image, the self-projection: What kind of person am I? What kind of things about myself do I most identify with? What am I proud of about myself? How do I like people to see me, and what qualities do I like them to identify me with all these asteroids up in there lol ? How do I tend to see people and things? What color are the glasses I am peering out of? How do I think people and life should be?
The Body: In Vedic astrology, the 1st house is considered the major house when it comes to all things concerning the body, including health and longevity (although the 6th is also health to them, and the 8th is also longevity). Does the 1st house have the same 'body' connotations in Western astrology? I think it does for the most part, though perhaps not as much as in the Vedic system. The 6th and 2nd houses are also body-oriented in western astrology. So again with these placements here with Ceres Nessus Nymph conjunct Asc, And orcus and schrodinger Im trying to see it within a larger context. IP: Logged |

Some copied from the reference library, others from posts... This is what I have had for awhile, but still not clear on merging. Nessus, controlling the feminine aspect of nurturing, sexuality,? Orcus and Schrodinger?CERES: The need for nurturing; food; the relationship between mother & child; issues of “taking care of” people, plants and animals; growths/cysts; herbs and grains. [See also Demeter] DEMETER: Mother-Child or care-taking relationships and efforts; growing things; food, diet, nutrition & meals. [See also Ceres] Nessus is the dench centaur who wants to abuse, do things extremely, to be the hardest, strongest, most powerful, wants to be the Man and have power over women etc, not always as extreme as its portrayed. Different for the different generations Nymphe is connected to a playful nature, sexual freedom/liberation just as the male counterpart Pan the goat god; the satyr. Nymphs were creatures that had the ability to change their form/shape from young beautiful women back and forth into trees, rivers, streams, flowers etc. They loved to sing, dance, and frolic in nature. They were know for not viewing sexual nature as something purely black and white, sexual things weren't corrupt its simply a part of nature. But they were very flirty and enticing by nature. The gods they were usually associated with or followed were Artemis goddess of the hunt, Apollo the god of the sun/music/prophecy etc, Dionysus the god of wine/party, Hermes the messenger god and Pan again the satyr. I know someone who has Nymphe conjunct ASC in Pisces. VERY playful yes. In Roman mythology, Orcus was a god of the underworld, punisher of broken oaths, the god who tormented evildoers in the afterlife. Seems it has something to do with pastlife relationship karma.
Perhaps some of the rest of the underworld god myth is at work here. For instance, one theory I've been seriously exploring is that Orcus, when handled constructively, governs accessing and bringing forward the spiritual wealth from the core of one's being. That isn't necessarily dramatic but it is profound. And it is not inconsistent with the charts I've seen over the past year or so. Schrodinger, I read and can grasp the experiment but, what the heck does it mean astrologically wise? IP: Logged |

I think the astrobodies in the 1st house also show what people perceive very strongly about you, like a hallmark. The placements there influence your physical appearance and your first-level personality a lot, your basic image. ------------------
I seem to have loved you in numberless forms... IP: Logged |
