As suggested by Astrokeen, please check out the reference thread for maximizing your knowledge of the Vedic Asteroids which are strong in your chart.I will add here that SIVA conjunct Ascendant and North Node in Virgo will help you perfect the details of ritual Yoga involving specific "Shiva Mantras" like "Aum Nama Shivaya". These Shiva Mantras are supposed to help in speeding up the process of attaining "Samadhi"/State if Bliss where one feels merged with the Universal God Soul. ------------------ Astrology Articles New Services and short readings IP: Logged |

I have this too, but without the North Node. I have Siva conjunct ASC and conjunct asteroid Spirit and Asteroid Soma in Leo. How differently would this work? Thanks for any insight. IP: Logged |

SIVA seems a a bit wide - nearly 3 degrees. Lovely to have Spirit at the Asc though - as if you are infused with a spark of divine energy.Just venturing a guess - together these indicate an enthusiasm for spiritual pursuits. iQ once mentioned that SPIRIT at ASCENDANT is a Star Seed aspect. Just leave that with you. There is a thread in the LL reference library on Star seeds in case you are interested.

Thank you Astro Keen, this helps so much -- hehe, love spiritual pursuits. Just starting to research Star Seeds since you mentioned it, just started reading the link you indicated, will start plugging in some asteroids and fixed stars and see what comes of it. Yeah, was not sure on the orb, is 4 degree orb too wide for asteroids on luminaries and ascendant, what orbs do you use? IP: Logged |

Generally up to 2 max. Exact orbs (less than 1 degree) for sextiles etc. You can go wider with conjunctions and maybe consider upto 3 if a double whammy is involved, where the other aspect is tight. There are just too many asteroids, and if you don't keep the orbs tight, you'll be led astray - that is focusing on diffuse influences. IP: Logged |

So very helpful Astro Keen, one more question, what orbs do you use for North Node aspects? Some astrology programs say I have certain aspects at like 5 degree orb, but other programs don't list the aspect. I'm guessing I should keep North Node aspects tight as well. Thanks again IP: Logged |
