Chiron Wounded Relationships, Marriage, Soulmates, Karmic Ties, Divination, Tarot, Astrology, Mystical Experiences, Spiritual Ecstasy, Service To Others, etc. A prominent Chiron position is quite responsible for these qualities. Chiron acts as a bridge between the Inner( Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars that are closer to Sun and smaller in size) and Outer Planets ( Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune that are father away and larger in size). The greater the number of bridge between Inner and Outer planets via Chiron states this an indication of being a 'healer trained in past lives has manifested.' The number of aspects between Chiron and the other planets indicates the degree of healing power and natural alchemical response patterns within the native. Chiron retrograde causes us to, first, look within in order to heal ourselves, while simultaneously magnetize healing from outside. According to Matrix Software, Chiron was a great healer, astrologer and an oracle. Chiron rules crystals and healing and was supposed to be the teacher of heroes to help them discover their destiny. Likewise, astrologers have placed its sign ruler as either Virgo or Sagittarius (mainly because Chiron was a centaur, as is Sagittarius) or Pisces, and its House, the 6th House of Service to Others and Healing/Health. Visionary astrologer, Barbara Hand Clow, provides a fairly convincing case for Virgo, and others for Pisces. However mostly it's proven that Chiron is ruled by Virgo. IP: Logged |

There is some logic in this. If I had to vote, I would choose Chiron-Virgo. Sag makes no sense at all astrologically. I just looked up Chiron in about a dozen charts and the 6th-12th (Pisces-Virgo) axis is proves to be relevant, not the 3rd-9th (Gem-Sag). IP: Logged |

I tend to agree...tho Sag is a Centaur! And as a teacher (3h) of higher principles (9h) I can see where the sag idea could come from. IP: Logged |

Liz Greene in The Inner Planets says it belongs to no one sign, it is so profoundly different, it can't be explained by rulerships. But she does believe that it should be included in all chart readings, because of its importance.IP: Logged |

Oh MyQueen! Yes, yes, yes Your Chiron piece is brilliant. I tend to pigeon hole it in either Sag or Aquarius but I can see Virgo in this instance so clearly.I know....You're scratching your head saying Aquarius?? yes only because of it's eccentric, crazy orbit weaving in and out, between Jupiter, Saturn and Uranus. ------------------

Well its orbit is between Saturn and Uranus so, yes, I could see Aquarius making sense too, Lala. In fact it could and has been seen as the link between the traditional planets (thru Saturn) and the more modern ones from Uranus on out.IP: Logged |

Aquarius and Capricorn are mate signs involving Uranus and Saturn. Healing involves energy (Aquarius) and the breaking or changing of habits (Saturn), a past versus future dynamic. It makes sense to relate to Chiron as an intermediary to help break and form new habits or cycles...healthier ones. That could be where the association comes from.IP: Logged |

Thanks for your responses. Lala, your take on Chiron's ruler as Aquarius is interesting. Chiron has no mild way of showing itself. It just rips your apart into pieces before it can join you and when there is Chiron involved, it's like walking bare, it can love you but at the same time it's like walking on fence. You can't walk without getting wounds. And it always feels like you can't hide yourself, you're bound to display your soul / or it just happens naturally. Chiron energy is involved where you just can't pretend. With my 10th house Chiron I've real trouble posing myself, I mostly come off as I'm, with no make up. Everyone (as a 10th house Chiron make me feel) can see my ugly and beautiful spots, me only trying poorly to hide it
It's a very volatile energy, in whichever house it goes. IP: Logged |
