So my understanding is that I was fated to be victimized when it comes to romance.

But will i be victimized by romance forever?

NO, victims will come to YOU. The vertex is what comes to you. The Anti vertex is what YOU bring to others. It is opposite the vertex by degree and opposite sign.

Not necessarily... Dejanira is a weak spot certainly but the vertex is what you are fated to draw to you, (in terms of partnership) only if someone's planets hit your vertex by hard aspect by very close orb. Depending on the aspects to the planet in their natal chart hitting your vertex as well as the synastry will show how they will act towards you. If it's a very harsh aspect (like a square from mars) on your vertex then this scenario may play out, or another scenario is if they have a badly aspected natal planet on your vertex (for instance their natal venus in fall, with square from uranus).

However, there are other positive means of fate to help you develop good relationships like Venus-NN in synastry. Dejanira-Vertex is definitely not set in stone, in my opinion.

Edit: Ami beat me to it!

Oh wow!! Makes total sense!!!

I initially thought I was the victimized one in 5th house department, because what usually happens to me is.. I almost always attract people who have either been in abusive relationships or have been raped in past
and I end up feeling used for trying to support and help them

Thank you guys!!

Do you look at ASPECTS to the vertex like squares? I just looked at conjunctions

Yes, hard aspects tend to create tension and activate the point. Relevant with nodes also.

You're welcome, Cap!

Iced

Could you give me some examples of how a square would play into the vertex? Thanks

I will reply you back Ami when I come home from the doctors.

Edit: The square would indicate negative energy being brought to union. Depending on whether the planet is malefic or benefic, the results can be mild, also depending on house placement.

Vertex in 12th square mars in 3rd would be fated to attract someone who acts based on the information on the surface and the tension from square would create incentive for the couple to work on the deep essence of the 12th house vertex. However, the "mars" person or the one activating via square will not be equipped to do this. The sense of purpose and "fatedness" will be there but it will be a potentially frustrating and non beneficial interaction, unless positive aspects are made to the planet via synastry.
