DEJA, more that I'm discovering, is aided victimisation rather than victimisation due to vulnerability -- PREY, for instance. With PREY, we're knocked over the head and dragged away. With DEJA, we're cajoled into making a poor decision, drugged, and abducted. See the difference? So DEJA requires our participation -- even though we're being bamboozled. So DEJA is largely about betrayal resulting from misplaced trust. With MERCURY, that can show a predisposition towards mental seduction -- especially given whatever house it's in and ruling. Brainwashing, for example. She may find that she's got a tendency to be gullible, or overly susceptible to flattery. DEJA gives us more power than we think, though. We can learn mental toughness (in her case) and how to pay closer attention to someone's actions over their words. For her, it may be that words don't amount to much, as she may be in the company of liars more than the average. Which, honestly, may stem from her lack of ability to be discerning and appropriately discriminating when it comes to what she's told is valid and true. I'd investigate LIE and SWINDLE for her, too, as well as NEP afflictions. IP: Logged |

I have this in natal, with chiron exactly opposing it. I have never been tricked or duped into any hairy situations. Smart enough to avoid that stuff. IP: Logged |
