So, according to the following text, SPICA endows the native with creative and spiritual leanings when conjunct a sensitive point or planet."To Spica are ascribed honors and fame. Spica is of marked good fortune for scientists, writers, artist-painters, sculptors and musicians. If Spica is on the Asc or Meridian and conjunction Jupiter and Venus, promise is given even to people of humble origins to enjoy protection, preferment and even wealth. In conjunction with Mercury or Venus and positioned on the Meridian or Asc, Spica gives artistic skill, drawing ability, musical talent and a good sense for literature and the sciences." From: http://astrologyking.com/spica-star/ I have SPICA conj. ASC, and I am a singer, songwriter, musician. I also read tarot, obviously have an interest in (although, not really an aptitude for) astrology, occasionally write poetry and paint, and have good qualitative research skills. Does this play out for anyone else? IP: Logged |

Great to have SPICA on the Asc .I have SPICA conjunct Kuber (Indian god of wealth), trine Moon and Fortuna. Also sextile Atira (meaning rich). Kuber 23.3 Libra, 3rd house Spica 23.13 Atira 23.21, Virgo Moon 22.18 Aqua Fortuna 22.25 So, this should endow riches or talents which bring riches. I do feel fortunate in that money is found when needed. I hope more is yet to come. I am artistically inclined - enjoy film making, for example, and hope this will be put to good use some day. My bf has Spica conjunct Kali within 1 degree - I wonder what that means. IP: Logged |

Hey Astro Keen, that's great, perhaps your next film will secure your financial future - freeing you up to make an even better one! Hmm SPICA-KAALI. I'm not versed in the KAALI energy, although others here are - hopefully they'll pop in and offer an interpretation. I wonder if it endows a talent for the Indian ritualistic arts? Yoga, tantra, perhaps. IP: Logged |

Weird, I actually relate more to SPICA than ARCTURUS, which is closer to my SUN at 24° LIB 18'.I'm a musician -- I play the piano and compose ; I love beading, origami, and creating little handmade stuff (some of them are inventions of mine with a specific utility to them, and others include functional miniature detailed beadwork or popsicle stick architecture). As far as the 'detailed beadwork' is concerned, you must've guessed that I'm somewhat Virgoan -- I'm also into maths, science and physics (astronomy). Mentalism and magic tricks, and astrology, of course, because my Scorpio Mercury loves to research and investigate. I also intend getting into decoding sometime, so I'm starting to learn the binary system and Morse code. But, yeah, although I'm only basing myself on the interpretation you posted (haven't researched fixed stars thoroughly), I'd say SPICA rather than ARCTURUS. Personality-wise, at least. IP: Logged |

Interesting Jim. I saw your post on another astrology site regarding this, however I was unable to find anything on the net regarding how Eta Carinae influences the native. Could you tell us more about this star? IP: Logged |

I have found that Eta Carinae is "about to go supernova" (or could have already, and could possibly destroy earth). For this reason it is called "The Death Star". Although, apparently the star is too far from earth to cause any problems. From: http://www.news.com.au/technology/sc ience/exploding-the-myth-that-the-dying-star-eta-carinae-will-kill-us-all/story-fnjwlcze-1227160571127 So, should we then be concerned with the process of transformation, considering that is what death is, and that is what the star is doing?

So I have spica conjunct my asc and north node to the degree. Also, spica is sextile my Jupiter and trine my moon. I don't really relate to the description at all. Do you think it is because the north node is what we have to develop so I need to develop the qualities that are associated with spica? IP: Logged |

SPICA was 23.13'40" Libra in my 10th House at the time of my birth. Asteroids 30 Urania (muse of astrology) and 193 Ambrosia (good and sweet things) are in same degree. Planet Neptune is nearby about two degrees away. /e IP: Logged |

Hi Anastasia,
yes, that appears to be the case, that the position and sign of the NN denotes the highest calling/purpose. I am still an astrology undergrad though, so don't quote! But perhaps SPICA there is encouraging you to utilise creativity on your journey to your NN. I see creativity as essentially a form of alchemy, it doesn't have to be music or art, but simply the mixing of energies, rather than settling for the basic tools. IP: Logged |

That's interesting Mirage. Do you use astrology for purposes other than the traditional? Or are your methods unique in some way? IP: Logged |

When I began studying astrology (very slowly) on my own, I didn't realize that this would provide me with a "Key" to self-discovery and self-understanding, and begin an effective way to recover myself from the catastrophic effects of life-long abuse. With the asteroids, I use them to create stories and contexts for issues that have been significant to me in my life, and as a way to explore and process my subconscious mind. The "Beauty of the Cosmos" is a profound, holy, and spiritually moving experience to me. It's rare when I don't feel my spirit rise up inside and want to worship or weep with wonder and awe when I consider all that God has created. It has moved me into an even deeper faith and appreciation and Love for our Limitless Ever-new Always-creating Ever-unfolding God. Mystical. Feels like I touch something palpable, profoundly Ancient, Beautiful, and Everlasting. Spica is not far from Arcturus , according to my birth time and place I have 23 Libra 58, fame not me, except for brutal honesty in some circles. I have met a few famous people. Other aspects are always stronger I suspect. Spiritual leanings, ALL MY LIFE without a doubt, But then I have Jupiter exactly on 4th(deep roots) and a NeptuneSC in 1/2(oblivious to material needs) so how much goes to the influence of Spica is a crapshoot. Certainly on the ascendant is a much better place than some[/B][/QUOTE]Hi Seimei, yes, as with many things SPICA doesn't appear to be cut and dried, much to the annoyance of my Virgo Moon! With you on the brutal honesty. With regards fame though, there are varying degrees, and selection by specific circles. And then there is also the artist's curse: recognition after death. I do music out of love anyway. IP: Logged |
