All I feel with this is that i'm destined to be a loser, also I hate being judged by people. Ive never had a stable career because they have all made me feel rubbish.

If it's any consolation, I have Chiron in my tenth and I'm now a comparatively successful professional It took me a few years to find my feet with a career, which was miserable and took some teeth-gritting to get through, but it hasn't registered as a problem since.

I'm a bit of a Chiron fan, tbh (always after the event, mind!) - ime he'll put you through a fair bit of discomfort but once you learn to get through that then he won't make you learn the same lesson twice. And you find that you're a much tougher, wiser person on the other side.

I'm not speaking from personal experience but one of my friends has her Chiron in Virgo in her 10th house aND she always talks about how people seem to think she is incompetent, or that she is naive or can't do anything or be successful. She just thinks there's something wrong with her or that people think there is something wrong with her. Even though I see from the outside that she is very competent, even though our organizational skills differ. She hasn't quite found her footing yet, but she's also a capricorn and they don't usually find success until they're like 95 or whatever. Saturn makes sure you deserve every drop he gives you.

Hm... I have Chiron in the 10th (conjunct Jupiter) and I relate to everything you and cchampliss2's friend say. I'm currently in school now, but it seems I hop from menial job to menial job because of a constantly hostile work environment. I'm pretty soft hearted and general nonconfrontational.. and strangely, I always take pride in doing a good job, so is it really me? lol I mean it has to be if I'm the common denominator right??

Anyway now that you mention I think this position brings a huge inferiority complex in conjunction with the work place. I kind of feel like my Jupiter is fruitless in this house so long as Chiron is there.

Perhaps it wOuld help to remember that Marilyn Monroe and Shirley Maclaine are both 10h Chirons. I cant vouch for how they felt about themselves but while it is commonly assumed MM had a lot of insecurities, Shirley Maclaine doesnt appear to. Both were v successful regardless.

I think sometimes 10h chiron means someone who wears their "wounds" or vulnerability very publicly which may not mean they are losers but Public Healers - dont forget that chiron was a healer and maybe that is a professional option in which you wont feel like a loser...or maybe your vulnerabilities publicly expressed can help others.

Your career will being out your pain and either give you the opportunity to grow or you will be in pain and struggle as you try to find ways to make the money to survive...you will epitomize the need to just barely survive to get by or you will force yourself to thrive as you survive....it's up to you.

Chiron in the 10th can be a hard relationship with the dad, too, particularly one in which the dad took away essential life confidence.

Many of my clients with Chrion in the tenth were very confused about using power until their Saturn return. Many of their difficulties with Chiron in the tenth start resolving at the Satrun return. Their confusions were mostly caused by projections from childhood coming from people who had a personal interest in this child getting power. In most cases, the men had been heavily projected upon by their mothers and felt extreme aversion to success.

The key to Chiron in the tenth house is the mastery of power as a sacred gift. These individuals must accept their birthright fo much needed leadership with sensitivity. These individuals will begin to manifest wonderful New Age work when many of the outer planets move into Capricorn in the late 1980's. Astrologers should especially try to assist these individuals around the time of their Uranus opposition. It is hard for them to let go of Saturn control because they seem to feel the power of Uranus very intensely. These individuals become increasingly electric in their mid-thirties, and they need guidance to keep from becoming confused. Shirley MacLaine and Marilyn Monroe both have Chiron in the tenth. Marilyn Monroe could not handle her own power, and Shirley MacLaine is a model of assuming her power."

- Barbara Hand Clow

Seems she noticed that about Maclaine and MM too.

Its good to remember that all "afflictions" in the chart indicate some kind of wound, and that Chiron was a healer and his wound didn't kill him ( he was immortal) until he chose to swap his life for someone else's.

This may feel uncomfortable! Even excruciating..but it is where you can heal and demonstrate to yourself and others that wounds are not reason enough to retreat from life...in fact they can motivate us to do good and help us understand others..

Thank you Ami

Extremely interesting observation about MM, Catalina! I just looked at ole girls chart right now and we strangely have a lot in common. Both have Moon in Aquarius, Venus in Aries, and Mars in Pisces and a grand water trine. She has the benefic Jupiter conjunct her Moon, I have the benefic NN conjunct my Moon. Huh, well, she definitely had an illustrious career, and everyone can agree she didn't have full control over her powers. I never thought I'd look forward to my Saturn Return lol (hey just two more years!)

A friend of mine has this.
And for absolutely no reason, people just found him sketchy, drug abuser, etc

I told him that he will soon master his reputation and become strength to those who suffer from similar false judgements. He now actively spreads awarebess agaisnt racism

Hi catalina, I appreciate what you've shared.

I have a Taurus Moon/Chiron/MC conjunction, opposite Uranus in Scorpio.

My childhood was very unconventional, and the way I raise my children is too.

My role as a mother is my most important role, and when my children move on, I will continue to mother whoever I can pick up on the side of the road

I receive constant praise and judgment. People's feelings about me and my lifestyle are intense.

To give an example; I homeschool. I opted out of testing. The school district involved Child Protective Services because I took testing off of my action list. I had to defend myself against my family (members of my community I consider as close as family)- the very people who taught me my independent ways. Then I received an apology letter from the Commissioner of Education for them basically wasting my time.

At the same time, when people can't deal with their teens they send them to me. I support a program that provides respite for children from war-torn countries, who usually suffer from post-traumatic stress syndrome. When a family can't deal with the stress of helping a child, I end up with the child. The same family/community members who judge me for my decisions with my children involve me in the most stressful situations involving the children from this program.

I hurt a lot from the judgment. But it just seems like a part of being who I am and doing what I do. I am almost 36 so I've had my Saturn return.

I was wondering if you might have some insights on my specific conjunction and Uranus opposition.

It sounds like you are living the conjunction in a very positive way and despite the judgement the "universe" is supporting you! Your uranus opposition will also conjunct that conjunction ... which could be cataclysmic imo but though it may be painful at the time (not necessarily WILL be) it should help you understand at gut level how supported you are..with uranus opp uranus it can feel like the world is turning upside down. I remembrr mine felt kind of like going into a full skid on ice in a car, and really that was how i responded and came to see it as a huge lesson in facing our own fears...when you skid the way out is to turn IN to the skid and suddenly you are out of it.

If that makes any sense.

I don't know if you are Christian but I came many years ago to a place where I see that everything in our lives is created by our consciousness..a wise man put it this way

have you ever noticed that when there is a problem you are there (noticing it)?

In other words its only a problem if you see it that way. I have found ho'oponopono "prayer" to be the best way to integrate and dissolve issues, sometimes miraculously. There is a great book explaining this - by a man I really didn't admire before he got into it. Called Zero Limits it is available online and I actually found a free download.

But however you do it most spiritual teachings lead to learning to "let it go" - in christian teachings it's called "casting the burden" or forgiveness, not in the sense of condonement but in releasing ourselves from negativity...cause no one else can do it for us.

Not meaning to rant but hopefully explain. Lots of material online about ho'oponopono which is a modern, christianized version of hawaiian healing...

i don't know what your other placements are? but congrats on the taurus moon! Its a fabulous, gentle but grounding moon that blesses pretty much any chart it is in.

I have found that just being open and nonresistant to our "lessons" resolves most everything with time...easier said than done I know. It does sound like you are responding positively to your chiron ..

Catalina,

Thank you so much for replying. I don't usually take this long to reply, but your advice, when you skid the way out is to turn IN to the skid and suddenly you are out of it, could not have come at a more needed time. After the events of this last week I checked my transits. I don't have Uranus opposite Uranus yet, but I do have tUranus opposite Pluto.

I don't think I'll be "out" of anything any time soon, actually seems I must delve in deeper, but flowing freely with the wave of changes and sudden events is freeing me from the distraction of resistance. It's scary to turn in to the skid, but now I can observe, clearly assess what is happening, and act decisively.

I hope when things calm down I can look into that book, Catalina. Thank you again.

Unfortunately I would have to agree in many ways with NeptunianSag, cchampliss2 and athenaia.

Chiron in 10th Taurus. It's not easy that's for sure.

I have Chiron in Gemini in the 10th house. I've read and been told that having this placement would make a person good with helping others being a Counselor or some kind of healing profession etc.

This person seems to feel he does not fit into his society for some reason. Also, the father seems to be a source of pain. This is a hard Chiron placement.
