My son has Algol on his AC conjunct Child...he has not been abused or hurt in anyway or hurt others.....he's about to turn 11.
He's a total sweetheart with a big heart, except he likes to bring toads n bugs into the house and some have accidentally been dropped....that's the extent of his cruel behaviors.
I guess my point is, Algol has other meanings to, it's not all doom n gloom.

Maybe I'm wrong but if Dejanira isn't aspected with malefics or Venus it doesn't have that big scary impact???

The more asteroids you add, the greater likelihood that ALGOL will be involved.

Just be sure to keep it to 0º-0º30 for accurate reading, and, unless there's a strong conjunction to a planet, another heavily aspected asteroid, or a tight configuration involved, it's not active.

Incidentally, while, yes, the tight 0º conjunction of MOON-MADHATTER conjunct ALGOL in my D60 is a clear karmic indication of very bad things happening in my most karmic lifeline, my twin has APHRODITE on ALGOL conjunct MENTOR.

I've been steadily teaching him how to delve into the furthest reaches of the darkest corners of the human psyche; to lance the festering wound that prevents unconditional love and authentic relating. We've had to face some serious personal demons together which were incurred separately.

ALGOL has a wide variety of interpretations and can behave in any one of them. When present in the astrology of one who is evolved, karmically-aware, and multidimensional, the demons of the past don't have to negatively impact the present or future. We must simply be willing to take a deep breath, dig in, clear it out, and heal.

And, last but not least, ALGOL can be involved in violence regarding the neck or head, yes, as it was commonly seen regarding beheadings / decapitation. But it, in and of itself, is not a murder pattern.

Many other things must be investigated (and involved) to have a homicidal pattern.

ahhhh i see i believe you are correct i don't have any of these asteroids i listed below aspecting any of my planets or angles. So I don't think i should work so much having algol on my dejanira since this doesn't look to major. well I'm look at my chart now check this out since you were talking about being the orbs very tight. this is pretty much what's present.

algol - 26 Tau 3' 34" - 8th house
dejanira - 26 Tau 35'23" - 8th house
Pan - 25 Tau 31' 1" - 8th house R
karma - 26 Leo 3'33" R - 11th house
Valentine - 27 Aqua 7' 9" - 5th house
