Hi all,

My boyfriend has this aspect in his natal - Aries. Any input on what kind of energy this would produce? I'm thinking a blend of emotional and physical needs...but could use some feedback from anyone who may know more on this particular aspect. Thanks!

Welcome, my Friend

This would make for a person who is naturally erotic. It would not be in an overt way, but an understated way. You may not see it until you know him well.

Haha...oh, I see it alright! I just didn't know how the moon energy might color this. Thank you!

Lord have mercy, llewsacm; how much DO we have in common?

I'll say, though, it isn't conjunct. His is MOON-NYMPHE, but EROS is 4º away, and it's all in Aries ... in 5H!

Well, I screwed up...looking at the chart from my rinky dink phone...haha. Its Eros and Venus, 4 degrees. Moon is there in 5th as well, but wide orb.

Venus/eros sits close to my sun, so just trying to get a better idea on Eros and how it's colored by personal planets. I saw his erotic side from day one. Lol.

Yeah aubyanne, kinda funny! I'll have to check his extended list of asteroids. Haven't done that in depth yet.

That's even hotter. Congrats!
I'm starting to look more at Eros myself to see how it works in charts...
I'll be following the thread :-)

If it's any indication, he's pushing 50, and I'm his first actual girlfriend, with whom he's participating in an actual sexual relationship.

For him, it's EROS (0º) conjunct NABOKOV 4º from his MOON (2º) conjunct NYMPHE in 5H. Kind of a big deal, considering his MOON is his 8R.

Then I waltz in with my APHRODITE conjunct ADONIS (0º) opposite his EROS-NABOKOV, and SUN conjunct PLUTO (2º) conjunct his MARS (0º-2º) opposite his MOON-NYMPHE (0º-2º). And, just to seal the deal -- square my NYMPHE (0º) in his 8H.

A fellow astrologer said it was 'karmic retribution' for trying to be such a hermetic monk.

While I can hardly say we have what could be considered an active sex life, 'celibate' is no longer a word which can be applied.

Perhaps, due to expanding by grace of moiety when it comes to the luminaries, this could impart that sort of 'ambient' nature to the MOON. I can certainly attest that there's a deeply understated eroticism to him, even if it's almost entirely sublimated into his artistic work.

NYMPHE, on the other hand, is conjunct by 2º, and definitely within orb.

Well, I checked his NYMPHE, and it's conjunct my moon by 3 degrees. Mine (NYMPHE) is opposite his Uranus by 1 degree. Probably headed into synastry questions here, but gotta know what significance this holds, if any???

I've had NYMPHE conjunct MOON in synastry a few times, though, I don't believe I was very conscious of it.

Instead, I can tell you that when it's heavily configured, a theme of the relationship will be sexual liberation; where sexuality can be enjoyed free of stifling social mores and returned to a kind of playful innocence. I would think in a relationship between two sexually oriented individuals, sex for its sake and the pure physical pleasure of it might also be a feature.

Lights 'illuminate' the asteroids they're conjunct -- like shining a light through a lens. Your MOON -- your lunar nature and emotional profile -- could inspire within him an innocent and carefree sexuality. It differs from the soulful depth of EROS. It's more freewheeling and in it for the pure pleasure principle.

NYMPHE is a bit like the nymphs themselves; they have no ulterior motivations or dark designs.

My boyfriend has mentioned upon more than one occasion that he wishes he could observe a time prior to the modern civilised world, as we 'hide' ourselves away via our clothing. He's actively mused how many psychopathologies could've been prevented through a simple, guileless presentation of ourselves in our most authentic -- literally naked -- form. And, yes, that also means that arousal would be immediately visible, too. A kind of authenticity not observed in proper modern society -- unless there's a negotiated intimacy beforehand.

That seems very NYMPHE to me. So it's less about actual sexual relations, and more about sexuality and its personal expression.
