And hae you noticed their influence much?

Mine are an Aquarius Eros and a Leo Psyche. I also have Psyche conjunct Chiron and trine Uranus natally. And Eros sextile Saturn and trine Moon.

I don't feel like they totally define me, or have quite influenced me.

The asteroids have to be super close--exact to 2 degrees in a conjunction 3 degrees can be ambient imo

Well my aspects follow that rule. If we take into account major aspects only, have:
Eros trine Saturn, 0 degrees (there is not much information about Eros-Saturn. Does that mean that I project a mature aura?)
Eros trine Moon, 1 degree
Eros square Pluto, 1 degree
Eros square ASC 1, degree
(The squares don't sound nice, honestly).

Psyche trine Uranus, 0 degrees
I also have Psyche sextile Chiron, 3 degrees

Eros sextile Pluto (minutes apart)
Eros sextile Venus (1 degree)
Eros trine Saturn/Neptune (1 degree)

Psyche in Aquarius in the 12th

I have Eros and Psyche in exact conjuction at 29deg Capricorn H7.

I still haven't quite figured out how this could be interpreted tbh

They are also sextile my Sun and oppose Jupiter exact

My eros is in Virgo sextile Jupiter 1 degree, thats its closest aspect, others are to wide.

Psyche is rx in aquarius in an opposition to Mercury, 1 degree to.

I dont feel they have made an impact in my life.

I have my fifth house eros in Cancer... which doesn't make any legit aspect (a 3 degree orb semisquare with chiron doesn't count as legit in my book, sorry)

And a 12th house retrograde psych in aquarius square my mars

4H Gem 15° PSYCHE

I can jive with your "one or the other" kind of description. It's more an internal struggle than anything anyone may or may not do, just to clarify. It's a personal imbalance that's constantly in motion, a persistent irritant, and frankly, really annoying, heh.

I'd like to hear from someone with the opposition in some modality other than mutable, though. They may have a different viewpoint or coping strategy for the polarized energies.
