What are your Lacrimosa aspects? Is this an ongoing theme in your life?Gabby Posted this in another thread: "208-Lacrimosa" Lacrimosa was discovered on October 21, 1879 by Austrian astronomer Johann Palisa at Vienna. The name means "weepy" in Latin; Palisa probably named it this because he lost this asteroid and had such a hard time finding it again it practically "made him cry." (My source says "lamentable and sorrowful difficulties.") Astrologically, this is basically what Lacrimosa indicates: tears, sorrow, mourning, sadness, tragedy, suffering, ordeals, wailing, regret, empathy, bleeding hearts, precarious emotional control. Lacrimosa- The name derives from Our Lady of Sorrows, a title given to Mary, the mother of Jesus. The name "Lacrimosa" comes from the word "lacrimoso", meaning tearful. -The music of the 'Lacrimosa' were the last notes Mozart ever set to paper in 1791, a few weeks before his death, in a Requiem which was never finished. Lacrimosa is a main-belt asteroid. It is classified as an S-type asteroid. It is also one of the largest members of the Koronis asteroid family and probably a piece of the original asteroid which was shattered in an ancient impact that created the family. It was discovered by Johann Palisa on October 21, 1879, in Pola, Croatia. "Lacrimosa" is a teardroped shaped wild flower that grows into depths of the Atlantic Ocean. Tears are commonly considered as the one holding the hand of our sad emotions. What we see is that tears are the outcome of the ultimate happiness and relief (tears of joy). -Physically, the 'lacrimal gland' secretes tears, and has excretory ducts, which bring the fluid to the surface of the eye where they are seen formed as a fluid, commonly know as tears, created from extreme emotions or physical changes in our environment.

WOW . I feel you. I have a kite involving it but its an odd kite hard to interpret: Pallas in Capricorn @7d49 Chaos in Taurus @7d49 Priapus H22 in Virgo @7d44 Aten in Virgo @7d10 Lacrimosa in Cancer @7d49 Lacrimosa does conjunct a few other things: Amycus in Cancer @6d18 Lacrimosa in Cancer @7d49 Child in Cancer @10d10 Jovita in Cancer @10d30 My Lacrimosa conjuncts my Draco SUN under 1d. I remember that a large portion of my life felt like mourning the loss of my innocence which I guess fits my Lacrimosa conjunct Child and looking back at my childhood with longing..Asteroid Nostalgia squares my SUN which didn't help either. _____________________________ My Ex has it conjunct his SUN-URANUS; by 2d his sun and almost 3d his Uranus. I think he has his ups and downs, Lacrimosa comes and goes for him but is an ongoing theme.
His Lacrimosa squares under 1d my Venus and trines my Moon under 2d. Perhaps Lacrimosa is associated with that bittersweet feeling bc you are glad it happened but mixed in with regret and longing too. IP: Logged |

I have Lacrimosa conj Akashi at 5LeoI don't doubt I had past lives of great suffering...I always had this weight on my shoulders since I was child. When the "appropriate" times to cry happened I never did. IP: Logged |

Once upon at time way back in my mid-20s I read a book and after having done so I wept and I wept daily if I thought about the subject and it went on for months. I cannot pinpoint the time period well enough for looking at a transit. By progression it was square to my natal Sun during that time. In my natal it is conjunct Constantia 5', opposition Newcombia(newlife) and half square Elpis(hope) and square Pluto and Angel and Athos I imagine you can guess the topic of the book. ------------------ LeekingChee IP: Logged |
