"Some astrologers consider that Juno can indicate artistic talents and abilities, and this is usually associated with the Sun, Venus or Ascendant conjunct Juno. "

My Juno is exact conjunct my Venus in the 5th in Aqua, so I agree... Does anyone else find truth in this?

commitment.

of course a person can be committed to ART work and if so over a period of time talent might be developed or revealed, but this could also be applied to astrology or playing the saxophone.
Relationships if they are going to be any good require commitment.
Juno is basically a reference to WIFE. If a man fails to commit to her than she is no wife. Juno is serious, protects and exemplifies commitment.
but Art itself, no.
But one could say Life is art, or Love is Art.

Art is not quite so simple though. And, if Juno is so strongly portraying an energy of both commitment and divine femininity at the same time... It would support that philosophy.

All forms of art are strongly linked to the feminine side and when that is combine with something grounded like commitment, it leads to not just the artistic spirit but the more tangible or visible production of art in its many forms. With your definition it almost seems like a Juno contact might be integral to getting the art out of the mind and spirit and into the shareable forms for the world to acknowledge. So I suppose it could be that one could be artistic but Juno helps express it....maybe even understand the importance of it. Commitment to creation.

I find astrology can be used most accurately when we determine what one word best describes an energy, the more words we use the less we comprehend because we create little boxes and energy always escapes a box.

Disagree actually. But for me, the understanding of energy came first and it is applying the language of astrology that I study. It isn't that way with everyone.

I went to the books on this one...

Demetra George & Douglas Bloch (1986, 2003).
Asteroid Goddesses: The Mythology, Psychology and Astrology of the Re-emerging Feminine.
ppbk, Ibis Press.

page 169 has list of JUNO ASTROLOGICAL RULERSHIPS. George & Bloch outline eight general categories --

JUNO_______________
Indicator of all one-to-one relationships
Rules over marriage rituals and institutions.
Significator of protocol and social ritual.
Feminine Beauty.
Creative talent in the arts!
Stands up for women's rights.
Symbol for the powerless.
The atmosphere (weather, quality of environment, etc).

Under category of Creative talent in the arts, these are listed:

women's arts
performing arts
projection of image
masks
dance
drama
vocal

Under protocol and social ritual:
host/hostess
hospitality
entertainment
etiquette
charm

Under feminine beauty:
adornment
dress style
makeup
scents
glamour
décor

My aspects--
Juno-rx Scorpio 4+ in H11
4+ = Sabian SCORPIO 5°: A MASSIVE ROCKY SHORE RESISTS THE POUNDING OF THE SEA.
KEYNOTE: The inertia of all institutionalized procedures.
Slow is the rise of the land from the vast ocean, but once it is formed it develops a formidable resistance to change in spite of storms....
Keyword: STABILITY

Juno trine Mars Cancer H7 2a orb
Juno square Chiron H2
Juno quintile Part of Fortune in H8

(How I wish I knew astrology when I was younger! This piece of knowledge would have been so helpful to me back then. I was on-course really strong until my first marriage crashed....)

BTW!~~
My 1st married lastname is within orb 3 of my Juno.
My first&last name consecutive degrees spelled out in my father's chart near his Juno Cappy 4+.
It's spelled out in my 1st daughter's chart in her H7.

I've found that 'middle names' can show up in a chart stronger than firsts, sometimes.

More on Juno, for your placement--
p.178 George&Block, Asteroid Goddesses.
QUOTE
JUNO-VENUS Aspects
The relatedness principle{juno} combines with the feminine principle of love and sexuality{venus}.
This combination emphasizes the romantic and aesthetic dimensions of relationship.
Harmonious aspects indicate the ability to infuse love and the appreciation of beauty into one's relationships.
As part of creating a fulfilling relationship, these individuals can make themselves beautiful and sexually desirable to their partner.
They may also engage in artistically creative partnerships.
. . .
Juno-Venus individuals can be attracted to artistic and the partner may manifest as overly accommodating, self-indulgent, or superficial (beauty's only skin deep).
The resolution of these challenges lies in learning to develop an inner appreciation of one's beauty and self-worth which is not dependent upon the opinions of others.

A friend of mine who is an accomplished and well known artist has Juno directly on her ascendant and Neptune on her mid heaven.
