17681 Tweedledum Discovered 1997 Jan. 6 by T. Urata at the Nihondaira Observatory. Tweedledum was one of the twins in Lewis Carroll's Through the Looking Glass and what Alice found there. When Alice meets him, he is standing under a tree with his arm round his brother's neck. Like his twin Tweedledee, he gives his name to a minor planet of Hungaria type. The citation was prepared by D. J. Asher. I have these in exact trine(4') to each other.

2 notes here, both from wiki links but perhaps playful but malicious propaganda introducing doubt. 1)She then meets the fat twin brothers Tweedledum and Tweedledee, whom she knows from the famous nursery rhyme. After reciting the long poem "The Walrus and the Carpenter", the Tweedles draw Alice's attention to the Red King—loudly snoring away under a nearby tree—and maliciously provoke her with idle philosophical banter that she exists only as an imaginary figure in the Red King's dreams (thereby implying that she will cease to exist the instant he wakes up). Finally, the brothers begin acting out their nursery-rhyme by suiting up for battle, only to be frightened away by an enormous crow, as the nursery rhyme about them predicts.
2)The names have since become synonymous in western popular culture slang for any two people who look and act in identical ways, generally in a derogatory context. Perhaps we find someone who has them placed prominent in chart to confer. Thus the reason for such a post. The obsession of the known is boring, to discover we must first venture. What idea have ye? ------------------ LeekingChee IP: Logged |

Well, I put asteroids on my list and then I use them and pick people's brains until I get a FEEL for them. Then, I have a theory base for how they act.I use Alice and Madhatter, now. I have Alice conj my Mercury, exact. She was sane and stayed sane in a crazy world. That was me. Madhatter seems to be people who were driven crazy by others in their lives. ------------------ Want to Read Simple, Fun,Sexy Articles on Astrology? I have TWEEDLEDEE conjunct my MOON 2°. I figure it as a chameleon type of energy, the ability to mimic, or "twin" whatever is relevantly aspecting it. In my case, MOON, so a natural inclination to empathize, or identify with lunar matters, whether I intend to or not. It may also give an inclination to philosophize about existential matters, but that may be due to other factors in my chart.A TWEEDLEDEE conjunct MARS may indicate a natural athlete, or someone quick to learn new skills. GREAT post but why do the moon and mars have such different meanings?

MARS is an energetic planet best exemplified by motion, while MOON is reflective and internalized. Hence, MOON-TWEEDLEDEE leads to feeling when and as how others feel (empath), and MARS-TWEEDLEDEE leads to coordinating true to form (athlete). I imagine VENUS-TWEEDLEDEE could indicate a talented photorealist artist, or SUN-TWEEDLEDEE could be someone who can impeccably blend into any group, or MERCURY-TWEEDLEDEE as someone with linguistic talent. Just examples. IP: Logged |
